The Bay Studio 2 - Broadstairs

Very clean idea for our weekend , easy walk into Broadstairs great coastal path nearby to go further if needed

Nice little place to stay for a weekend get away in Broadstairs. Ideal to use as a base for exploring. (15 - 20 minute walk to the town/beach) Facilities were clean, tidy and well decorated. We went as a couple of friends, one in the comfortable double bed and one on the sofa bed (which she said was comfortable enough for her) It's true there is no oven but we knew that, we didn't need one as we were eating out or ordering in - so as long as you bear this in mind and read the descriptions then you'll have nothing to complain about! (Other people have complained but obviously they didn't read the description from the owner) Excellent communication from Lee. There was a couple (with a dog) in the studio next door, but there was no problem with noise from them - the rooms appear to be well soundproofed. I would definitely stay again.

Pleasantly surprised at how big the studio was. Very spacious even for two people.

Everything was perfect except the pillows! They were thin and not thick enough.

Room was spacious and clean, kitchen facilities fine, nice touch to leave some milk, although we didn't use it. Bed was comfortable, shower and bathroom fine. Good location, very quiet.

There was nowhere to eat meals, not even a breakfast bar. Just one chair at the end of the kitchen worktop. Bit awkward to sit on that when there are 2 of you !! We basically ate our meals off our laps while sitting on the bed. There was a small desk and chair, waste of space. When the sun rose so did we. One blind on the main window, only useful to stop prying eyes when dressing, didn't keep the light out. We did find a dark blind in one of the draws, but it didn't fit the window and fell off completely during the night. Nothing at the other end of the room. The 'shower towels' provided measured 70cmsx110cms. They were basically hand towels. One pillow on each side of the bed. We had to use the cushions from the Futon. The tap needs looking at in the bathroom, its very stiff.

I liked that it is close to the sea, and we feel safe with the cameras and the food deliveries arrived easily.On Wednesdays there are fireworks at 9:50pm to 10:00pm.

At night the streets are a little dark
