Chambercombe Villa - Harbour View, Decking, Garden, Games Room, sleeps 20

Beautiful house with a great location and access to Ilfracombe. Spacious for a large group and pool table/outdoor space was fantastic. Communication was good from the owner.

We arrived to a smelly, broken dishwasher, which resulted in a lot of washing up for a very large family!! No offer of compensation and unfortunately not able to be fixed during our stay. Some of the kitchen facilities were limited - not enough glasses, bowls etc. Bathrooms could do with a refresh, all felt slightly dated and in need of a refresh.

Big house for a large group of us. Spacious. Clean house, large garden with a BBQ. Games room.

Leak in the 1st floor toilet from above Bricks holding up one the beds Lack of everyday items bin bags, toilet roll. Amount of hot water for showers. Some of the windows didn't shut all the way.

Fantastic location within walking distance to the harbour and beach. Loved the huge kitchen and dining area - perfect for a large group. The house was warm and clean. Plenty of bathrooms. Games room was a top bonus. Great little pub called the Thatched Inn within waking distance.

It's an old house, so there are a few little DIY jobs that need attention, but everything was generally clean and tidy and comfy. There is a fantastic bath with sea views, but the other bathrooms are a bit retro.

Location was great, short walk down to the harbour and close to the supermarket.

The photos on the property listing only show the nicer rooms, the property has great potential but unfortunately it felt very unloved and neglected. There as broken and damage furniture, bricks holding up one of the bunk beds. Stains on the majority of upholstered furniture. Two sofa beds rather than the one listed, both of which were very dirty so we were unable to use. A lot of personal junk filled cupboards. Mould and stale milk stains in the fridge and freezer. One shower was hanging on by one hinge, the top hinge wasn’t intact.

The house was lovely, the location and views were amazing, there was plenty for the kids to do.

The property was very spacious There were 19 of us and everyone had plenty of space to sleep/relax in The downstairs especially is an excellent layout

The shower/bathroom taps were slightly difficult to use some of the time but nothing too hard to deal with
