Zippity Doo Dah - Menaggio - by Satisfactual Property

We absolutely loved Zippity Doo Dah (ZDD)! The apartment is very spacious, clean and has everything you can possibly need for a multi-day stay. The host, Giorgia, was very welcoming and super helpful with detailed instructions on how to find the apartment (Google Maps put us a couple of hundred meters off the actual entrance), where we could park our car and what to do/see in Lago di Como. She also had a couple of little things welcoming us to our stay, which we truly appreciated. The apartment definitely exceeded our expectations in terms of size - every room is spacious, including a large bathroom - and amenities which go way beyond what you would normally expect in a short-term rental. We also appreciated being able to do multiple loads of laundry during our stay and having a proper setup to hang the clothes to dry. The location in Menaggio could not have been better. You are right in front of the ferry terminal and within a 5 minute walk of the downtown area full of restaurants and shops. Initially, I was concerned about possible noise from the ferry terminal but the apartment is extremely quiet and, even with the windows open, the noise from the ferry terminal goes away between 8:00pm and 8:00am. It's also nice to have a balcony with a view of the lake where you can sit and sip a drink or have a snack. Giorgia is a wonderful host and it is quite clear that she put quite a bit of thought and love in furnishing the apartment. We highly recommend a stay in ZDD!!

Nothing. We loved everything about it!

The location was easy to access and had excellent views from every window and balcony. Quiet with a nice breeze. The washer came in handy. Best of all the owner was very detailed and able to reach if you have questions.

It is possible to have a magnification mirror to put in contacts or do makeup. Maybe some different pillows for people who have neck issues. And a topper for the bed to make it a bit softer. Also umbrella. I understand people do leave them and it could be costly but it would be nice. Otherwise it was perfect.

Location: very convenient and strategic, a few steps to bus stop and in front of ferry docking station. Mobility to travel around is very easy. Host: very kind and checking on us if we are ok. She provided us with welcome treats as well. Communication is easy. Apartment: everything we need is available. We usually eat outside but tea and coffee are very much appreciated to have it available before we start our day. We sleep well and it is quite even though it is beside the street. We love the balcony too.

A sweet spot on the water, right next to the ferry terminal in Menaggio. If you love people watching, this is the place for you! Also very handy to supermarket (is in the same building) and easy walking distance to cafes and restaurants. We also loved having a washing machine, well-equipped kitchen for cooking, and wifi. Great bathroom with a full bath tub. Plus the price point was fantastic - don’t think you’ll find anywhere on Lago Di Como that is as good a value as this, right on the lake. Above all, Giorgia - the host - was one of the loveliest people we’ve never met. She was kind, responsive, helpful, and made our honeymoon special with a bottle of Prosecco and sweets upon arrival. She’s a gem! It really felt like a home away from home, and you can tell she prides herself on this. Book it!

Only two tiny things! And ironing board or clothes steamer would be great (which we have already let Giorgia know) and a light-blocking curtain in the bedroom as the street light shines in at night. That’s it!

What an amazing and ideal location! With the ferry in your back yard it was really convenient for getting around the lake to visit other places. And to walk down to the shops and restaurants in Menaggio, that only took minutes. Another benefit is the C10 bus was almost at the front door and a market downstairs. Very well equipped and very comfortable place to be. Loved it!

There wasn’t anything not to like other than we did a makeshift mattress cover to make the bed a little softer. Was a bit firm for us.

It was in a perfect location, directly next to the ferry terminal and beautiful view onto the lake. It was also right next to the bus stop. The apartment was very spacious, clean and had all facilities we needed

Nothing at all to dislike

The location and the view were amazing. The property was so spacious, clean and well equipped. One of the best I’ve ever stayed in . Communication was excellent. What a wonderful place .

As mentioned in the title, the view from the balcony is so scenic that this is where I planned and successfully got engaged to my partner. No contact upon check-in and check-out, and Giorgia was truly such an honest and knowledgeable host. Love the complimentary coffee and tea. The air-conditioned unit was a godsend during summers in Lake Como!

There was no lift in the apartment so it can be difficult if you carry a lot of luggage, but otherwise the flight of stairs aren't a lot

Very clean and nice upon arrival. Location is fantastic and the balcony overlooking the lake is sublime.
