Erne Getaway No.8 Brand new 1 bed apartment

Great bathroom, shower, and bed. Cooker was good. Nicely decorated.

It has to be pointed out that the only ventilation apart from the bathroom extractor fan are two small windows at the top of the windows each side of the main door. The apartment is the width of a pavement, less than six feet, from the very busy main road. Trucks travelling down hill and past at speeds that felt in excess of the 30 mile-an-hour limit caused both noise and vibration. So the choice is to close the windows to reduce the noise, or accept that you will be in a permanently stressed state as the trucks hurtle past. Either way there is a lot of vibration. We stay in hotels or rental accommodation for a total of more than eight weeks most years, so we have stayed in a wide range of places. This accommodation rates among our worst experiences. I feel bad giving this review, but if other reviews had been more detailed we would not have booked in the first place.

These are clean and comfortable apartments for 1 or 2 people that are beside the water and a few minutes walk from the center. We have stayed a few times now and will continue to use them in the future For the price u pay you will not be disappointed, my partner uses it for fishing trips while I take myself into town or read a book.Mary is also a great host and prompt with any questions you might have in addition to the book with everything you need to know and see in the area.I would definitely recommend to other singles or couples.

Close location to the town. Good parking. Lovely garden centre across the road. Clean and comfortable. Able to control heating easily as it was a cold weekend.

It is on a busy road, so if you are not used to traffic noise it may take a bit of getting used to.
