Private 1-bedroom apartment, 15 minutes to New York City Manhattan, MetLife Stadium FIFA World Cup 10 minutes away

The property was nice and cozy. It felt like home.

I liked everything about the property.

The only thing i liked was the location close to Manhattan, direct bus to PATH.

To be very honest I didn't like anything about the property. In terms of ammenities there was nothing. The place was stinking and there were insects inside the apartment which made the experience worse. There was no water facility in the apartment as well.

I stayed at this property in New York for four nights, but I left after just two due to significant safety concerns and the overall poor quality of the accommodation. The apartment was on the ground floor, with a broken window and damaged window protections, with more lockers on the bedroom door than on the main door and visible sign of forced entry, which made me feel unsafe throughout my stay. Additionally, there were insects in the apartment, and the cleaning appeared to have been done very superficially. When I requested a refund for the remaining nights, I was met with a highly unprofessional response from the owner. I was accused of attempting to blackmail them simply for asking for my money back, and I was told that I would never receive it, with the owner sarcastically wishing me "good luck" with that. This left me shocked and disappointed, especially as I had clear evidence to back up my claims. The attitude of the property owner was dismissive and irritated any time I raised concerns. When I asked about safety, they would tell me that I was "just complaining." To make matters worse, I was also accused of running a scam simply because I had a European phone number connected to my Booking.com account, as I am from Europe. Dealing with Booking.com was equally frustrating. They took a passive stance, stating that if the owner refused to provide a refund, there was nothing they could do, despite the fact that I had clear evidence of the issues I experienced. As a result of this situation, my entire vacation was ruined. I didn’t sleep for two nights due to the unsafe conditions and had to book a new place to stay at my own expense. I also wasted a lot of time on the phone with Booking.com customer support. To add to this, I still haven’t received an invoice for the services I paid for. I would not recommend this property to anyone based on my experience.

It was clean! I mean - yeah, the apartment was old. Building was built in 19th century. But it was clean! And it had kitchen, fridge, A/C...

Bathroom. It was super old and I didn't like the shower.
