Seaside Joy - This is your happy place!

We couldn't go out to the beach whenever we wanted to. I like to be sitting on the beach at sunrise but couldn't because of the location of the building to the ocean. So that really sucked for us......

The staff were very helpful in getting the situation sorted out. Once that occurred , the facility was very nice

The homeowners may need to hire another cleaning crew. Also, so others are aware , this is on the beach. The beach is inaccessible during high tide. For me , I could only get to the beach from 11am to about 4 or 5 pm. There are fences blocking usable beach on either side of the buildings. So you have to drive to actual beach access (and pay city parking fees) if you want access any other time

The location was fantastic. Right on the beach with just a short walk down the stairs.

There are 2 chairs in the living room. One was broken when we got there. My husband almost fell in the floor sitting on it. So we didn't use that one anymore. The other chair broke 3 days in. A metal spring popped out the top on my youngest daughter. She's fine. The air was on 76 when we got there. It is a window unit in the living room and a stand up hose unit in the bedroom. You could cut the moisture with a knife. I had to clean the bedroom unit because it was not cooling. The filter was caked with dust. I also downloaded the app for the window unit after having issues with it not working. I will say the owner was very responsive when I messaged her about it. The rug in the bedroom stayed wet. The fan in the bathroom only works part of the time so the bathroom stayed humid. The beds were not bad, however the sofa was filthy. Thats where our son slept. He ended up not pulling out the bed after one night because it dipped too much in the middle. After one night my husband ended up going to the urgent care with a sinus infection. The day before we left I started feeling bad. It got worse the next day. We are both allergic to mold. I am not one to write a bad review, but the only reason we chose this place was because it had good reviews. We dont know how. It was dirty, moldy, and damp. Oh, and the washing machine doesnt work so you have to pay for the laundry mat. It's $2.50 per cycle. Make sure you bring detergent because they don't sell it in the laundry mat.

The view of the beach was wonderful. You could hear the waves crashing from the living room. The beds were comfortable enough. There were plenty of towels. They had a nice laundromat. Being a bottom unit it is fast access to the beach.

The beach is deadly and completely inaccessible twice a day at high tide as the water smashes into the stairs several feet off the ground. The complex closed our beach entrance for an entire day and told us to use the complex entrance 2 units down. Which was more deadly and flooded than ours. The exterior door was unlocked on arrival and would not lock from the outside the entire stay. The door frame was so weathered it did not line up to latch and close. We could use a lach lock from inside but had to leave it unlocked while we were not in the room. Their was black mold all over the bottom 4’ of the living room curtains at the sliding glass doors. The unit had defiantly had dogs in it even though it was a no dogs rental. It smelled terrible like wet dog and I am allergic and had terrible allergies every time I walked in the room. The large TV was hanging off the wall by 1 stripped out drywall anchor the other was already out of the wall. The tiki bar across the street blared music until at least 1AM on a week night it was so loud in the bedroom you couldn't sleep. The toaster did not work. I did inform the owner who was very nice and apologetic. We were very glad it was only for 3 nights and not a week. She was going to take care of all the issues after we checked out and refund part of our stay. We did not receive any refund.

Was very close to water, maybe to close.

Was a lot smaller than we thought from the photos, washer & dryer didn't work, neither did the toaster which sucked especially when you have 2 14 yrs girls who want bagels every morning.

Location, location, location. I enjoyed sitting on the balcony listening to the water. The bedroom was at the end of the hall, yet you could still hear the water. Very relaxing.

The only thing was you couldn’t get down the ramp sooner to walk the shoreline. We know that wasn’t in your control.
