MAISON - ELEA

After many, many hours and days searching and filtering, I finally came across Maison Elea in Ierissos. Being our first family holiday, now all as adults, in over 10 years. It had to be perfect and was in so many more ways than we imagined. Marika and Jannis have created something truly beautiful and unique - not just Maison Elea itself - but the experience as a whole. From the moment I booked, they were very quick to respond to my queries, providing detailed and thoughtful responses, ensuring our requirements were truly met. During our stay, they were constantly on call to provide recommendations and help with bookings of boat trips, beaches, restaurants, bakeries - everything we needed. The apartment was luxurious - very clean with high quality furnishings and appliances, and extremely comfy beds. The attention to detail was clear in the cleanliness of the apartment and shared spaces, with the pool and outside kitchen area being constantly cleaned, flowers trimmed daily, an additional deep clean of our apartment part way through our stay, and the gifts provided on arrival. Ierissos and nearby areas were magical - with pristine beaches and waters as clear as a swimming pool. Two recommended excursions that truly stood out were a boat hire to the nearby island Ammouliani, where we explored its many magical beaches and saw dolphins, and a wine tasting that Marika and Jannis joined us for - not only did we learn a lot about wine production, we laughed so much together with our two new friends. Marika and Jannis - we wish you every success and happiness - thank you for making our trip so special. We miss you already and can't wait to see you again. P.S. The nearby bakeries are a must try - the bougatsa, spanakopita, olive bread, doughnuts - take me back already!

Excellent stay with my family including an 8 and 1yo. Marika and Giannis were excellent hosts, very responsive and kind. The property was like the photos and very clean. They had thought of many small details in the design of the property and landscape and also for guests that was appreciated. Parking available behind the house. Washer/dryer in the unit was great. Pool (unheated) was open during our stay in late April; our kids and others were swimming, though it was a bit too cold for me for a longer swim. They have floaties, toys and games which was a big hit. Short walk to the beach and some restaurants. Many places were not yet open for the season though in some ways was nice to have a calmer stay. They offer some good recommendations for things to do, visit and places to eat - note, some are only available in summer season. Roads to visit other areas are quite windy, noting in case your kids also get motion sickness easily but generally could get to various areas within about 20-45 min; beautiful area! My fault that I accidentally booked a split level / loft style. Our 1 yo learned quickly he could not go upstairs -- though heads up to other parents of young children when booking.

The blinds don't block out the light so between the sunrise and our 1 yo, we were up around 6am everyday :)

Maison Elea is the most stunning place we’ve stayed at recently on our summer family trips. The whole place is so well thought out, modern, stylish, and planned well to the last detail.

Everything is simply perfect. The design of the apartment, the outside area, Marika and Jannis are as sweet and helpful as one can be and simply amazing.

The design is awesome, the hosts are the best, extremely friendly, they can recommend a lot of nice places to eat, visit or go to the beach. The pool is awesome.

We had a wonderful time at Maison Elea! The appartment is tastefully designed, super spacious, fully equipped with everything one would need & has the nicest hosts we have ever met. We can only recommend staying at this place.

Extremely hospitable, beautiful, clean!

Maison Elea is probably the best place in this part of Greece to stay. I, my wife and son felt great here. We regret that we only spent 4 days here. Marika and Jannis - the owners - took care of every detail to make the guests' stay perfect. As interior designers, we appreciated the comfort of the beds and the arrangement of the apartments. Everything has been thought out. The colors, the texture, the lighting, the furniture. Even the color of the glasses and pans matched the interior! In terms of furnishings in the house, kitchen, and bathroom, nothing, NOTHING was missing. The garden is cozy, well separated from the sounds of the town. In the garden, there is a large wooden table, kitchen, refrigerator, and coffee maker. One evening we simply ordered food from the restaurant around the corner and had a family dinner in the garden among the flowers and olive trees. Overlooking the illuminated pool. The owners put in a lot of hard work to make guests feel comfortable. We appreciate it very much. Marika and Jannis House is a place we will recommend to all our friends. 10 points in Booking is not enough. It should be 20. Maison Elea is a paradise in the middle of the town. We will come back here.
