AUGreat communication with the owners, the space was very large and had everything we needed! great location very close to airport, bus stop and main street and very comfy :)
The drains in the bathroom didn’t work very well but host came to fix this within a day !
SEMy partner and I stayed over for a week. The apartment was really nice - great location very close to the restaurant area. The flat is perfect for a couple, clean, very well kept, AC working perfectly. We found plenty of towels, laundry available, ironing board and TV. They even got us some greek treats, which was a very welcomed surprise! :) Areti's son was also very nice to us and gave us tips around parking lots
GBIncredibly clean, comfortable, air con, lots of balcony doors to let air flow, and good selection of pots/pans, etc. in the kitchen. Plus salt, pepper, oregano, and olive oil.
A little tricky to find, and I'd have really liked an ice tray and some warm light bulbs in the lamps (they were stark white).
GBClose to the center and buses to other places
On the back of school, a bit noisy since morning till evening due to kids playing football every day. A bit dusty in the bathroom.
PTLocation, clean and spaceous house
ATNothing to complain about! Everything was top.
PTLand lords reply quickly to messages. Easy check in. Apartment is centrally located.
Apartment is poorly cleaned. As per the owners "they never used and do not own a vacuum cleaner". If one is in business of having so many people staying at an apartment, perhaps its a good idea to buy a vacuum cleaner? Alternatively, you can expect a lot of hair of different sizes and colors everywhere. Bed duvet was not inside a duvet cover. They just placed it on top of a bed sheet as to avoid direct contact with the guest. That duvet is most definitely not washed after every visitor. Hair was noticeable on it. Sofa has a smell. I had to place a bed sheet over it as it felt disgusting. And the multitude of brightly colored pillows need a dusting and a wash. Internet of very poor quality. I had to use mobile data in order to do a work video call that was scheduled. I received a phone call from the landlord as apparently the walls are extremely thin so the neighbor complained about TV noise. Note I was watching on normal volume. Fine. That said, in that case, why was I listening past midnight to neighbors' washing machine ravaging through the cycle? I would suggest that you avoid the apartment until it gets properly warm in Crete. Why? Its very humid in town at night. And probably due to poor construction the apartment absorbs that humidity. My towel after showering would not dry properly until next day albeit I would leave it in the kitchen to dry. When asked the landlord prior to booking if they have a drying rack for clothes. I was told they never used one. They use one on the terrace. Note, its a few short lines hanging off the terrace. As my towel couldnt dry inside, you can only imagine what happens to clothes staying over night outside. Conclusion. If one charges 100+ euros per night - I believe its fair that basics are in place: proper hygiene, working internet, and a few thousand euros invested by the landlord in the apartment (ideas: reduce dust accumulating tacky plastic plants, buy a vacuum cleaner, buy proper knives for cutting)
NLEverything. It had been lived in by real people and you could feel it.
