2 bedroom flat in the Dob street, Venus

Nothing!!

I wanted to share my extremely disappointing experience with a property I booked through your site. This was my first time in Budapest and I was looking forward to experiencing the beauty of the city in a cozy, convenient location. I booked this property rated 8.1 for 3 nights and paid in advance before arrival. Upon arrival, I was shocked by the condition of the property. It was dirty, dusty, and old, with a strong musty humid smell that was unbearable. The towels were damp, the linen was dirty, and there were spiders in the corners. The owner offered us another apartment for 2 nights and promised a refund for the last night. However, the second apartment was also old, without an elevator, and had a creepy, dirty atmosphere with a door that did not lock properly (I have video proof of the broken key lock that was also shared with the owner). We left the property and requested a refund, then had to book a last-minute hotel at an inflated price through your site as well. The next morning I recontacted the owner again and she refused to refund anything, even the last night that she promised will be refunded ( I have whatsapp chat proof)! She denied that the room is this bad although I shared similar reviews on booking.com stating the same hygiene and humidity smell problem ( check reviews on your site). And then she blocked me or stopped responding!! I lost all my money for this place and couldnt spend a minute inside with the bad smell!!

Location

Cleanliness of the apartment, high humidity, everything seemed wet. Lack of some basic necessities and communication with the owner.

The apartment is in the center, nice and cosy furniture

The stares to the bedrooms on the second floor seems to be dangerous

Everything was cool. Location was 10/10. Flat was really clean and comfortable. Thank you for everything!

More towels are needed

The location was amazing. I loved the apartment style and that each couple got a bed to sleep in, in separate rooms, rather than the second bed being a sofa like other apartments have.

It was not clean enough. There was quite a lot of dust and hair on the floor, especially in the bathroom and on the stairs. It looked like no one vacuumed in a while. And upstairs the shelves next to the bed and on top the furniture were very dusty. And it's not like it would take much time to clean these. Also, the bottom part of the apartment wouldn't get warm. We used the AC to heat the apartment, but only the bedrooms got warm.
