Harbour View 2BR & 2BA City Center with Free Parking

Beautiful and clean. Spacious. Well appointed.

We (4 women friends) thought the accommodations were just perfect. Modern and clean, the apartment was stocked with all the essentials we needed, and was located such that we were able to walk everywhere! The convenience of having our own place made the trip even more special, as we started the day with coffee together, and ended with game night around the large round table. Highly recommend!

The apartment is centrally located in the Old Harbor section of Reykjavik and a short, ten-minute walk to the bustling area my kids call Rainbow Rue because of its street painting. The accommodation itself is fairly new and well-maintained. Because the German-made kitchen appliances are unfamiliar to us Americans, it took a little time to work them effortlessly. The small, cot-like bed in the smaller BR crowds the limited floor space. My son felt uncomfortable on it, so he slept on the couch in the living area, which isn’t capacious. It’s suitable, but it’s not large. Four is the maximum capacity to be acceptably comfortable. I suggested the host provide a primer on the labyrinthine underground parking area, which blends per-hour pay parking (for the retail shops on the block) with spaces (not reserved) for residents and renters. Some background information needs to be provided to breakdown this confusing complexity. Be forewarned: the building management has NOT designated a parking spot identified by apartment number. It’s first-come, first-served, a characteristic of the place that can be irritating when one has to drive around the confounding maze looking for someone to vacate a parking space. It’s a hindrance (but if you’re from NYC you’re used to such nonsense). The hosts are accommodating and responsive. Good people without a doubt. Don’t hesitate to contact them if you have an issue they need to address. Oh, the second BR lacks a clothes closet, and that’s a shortcoming I hope gets a remedy.

Great location, great host

Exceptional stay in every way. The apartment is beautiful, stocked with toiletries, etc. that you would get in a hotel, parking is great and cannot beat the location. Bjork is a wonderful host, very communicative and responsive.

Very comfortable accomodations in an amazing area. Easy of check in. Parking was a huge plus and we never wanted for a parking spot - always plenty of room. The beds were very comfortable and the bedrooms spacious. Living room and kitchen were big and accomodated the 5 of us adults easily. Two bathrooms were big and the showers had amazing water pressure. Around the corner from the apartment was a 24/7 market which we utilitzed a few times (especially on our late arrival from the airport). A lot of restaurants and shops within walking distance of the apartment. Could easily walk around the city from the apartment. Quite at night and evening in the morning. Superb location. Would definitely stay here again.
