b&b U Punenti

This was a pleasant stay for us. The room was very clean. The host was attentive and helpful. She was available to answer questions, provided good recommendations, and was even to able to help us find a boat tour despite the fact that it was high season and many tours had already been booked. The host also provided beach towels and a very sturdy beach umbrella. This was quite helpful for our beach days considering how hot the days get during August. The bathroom was very clean with good shelf space under the sink. A decent blow dryer with a concentrator is provided. Toiletries are provided.

The main town is close enough to walk, but not during the peak of summer. It is about a 10-11 minute walk downhill to the town, but with the heat the walk back uphill just isn’t comfortable. Then, if you want to drive to the town, finding parking becomes somewhat problematic during high tourist season. Parking at the property is also limited if you plan to bring your own car. The room is situated on the second floor with about 3 other rooms. There is a shared kitchen that all guests have access to. Unfortunately the walls are thin and we could hear everything in the morning when the host was preparing breakfast and at night when the other guests arrived from their evenings out. Our room was the largest room and also the first room as you enter the second floor. The cars and motorcycles driving by were also very loud. The bed and pillows were firm but not uncomfortable in my opinion. But the bed was too firm for my spouse. The AC worked well. There is a TV in the room but we really didn’t use it. There’s a small chest to hang clothes. The bathroom was nice but quite small, particularly the shower. My spouse and I are both short Hispanics and I was bumping into the shower basket frequently. Of course, this basket is also poorly positioned in my opinion. Anyhow, I definitely would take this into consideration if you are a larger person. Breakfast was pretty limited but that seemed to be the case throughout the island. Coffee was provided but made using a nespresso machine. If you love Italian coffee this may be a bit disappointing to you.

Where to start. My partner and I had an excellent stay at Daniela’s place. Our room had a breathtaking view and waking up to it every day was amazing! Even the view from the shower was incredible! The room was spacious, had all comforts and was spotlessly clean. Very comfy bed. Daniela is such a great host, she takes the time every morning to make recommendations about how to best spend the day depending on the weather, and makes amazing homemade jam that is available in the breakfast :) I am celiac, and a variety of gluten free products were provided for my breakfast. We could also borrow umbrella and cooler bag for the beach, which have been life savers! We will definitely be back to U Punenti for our next trip to La Maddalena!

Excellent location, fantastic view of the island from our bedroom and the terrace. Excellent host Daniella! Gave us great recommendations, was always contactable and made us feel comfortable and at home.

Our stay at B&B U Punenti was absolutely delightful. Our host, Daniela, was incredibly welcoming and went above and beyond to make us feel at home. She provided fantastic travel recommendations, helping us discover hidden gems and must-see sights that we wouldn't have found on our own. Every morning, we were greeted by delicious homemade breakfast accompanied by freshly baked treats. If you're looking for a charming place to stay in La Maddalena, with a host who feels more like a friend, then look no further than Daniela's place. We can't wait to return someday!

Daniela the host was very nice and helpful with advice about where to go and what to do. Breakfast was very special to have on the balcony overlooking the town and the sea with a nice selection of food.

Daniela bent over backwards to do anything and everything for us. Breakfast was exceptional and we thrilled that she offered to do laundry!

Everything. The room was spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated with ample storage. Daniela was a super host - so friendly and full of great information to make our trip the best. The breakfast was great, I was so impressed with the delicious cakes/ savoury bites that Daniela made daily. The views from the breakfast balcony were amazing. Access to a fridge/ freeze plus the water fountain was a great touch.

Daniela, the host was simply the best. Very attentive to details of all her guests needs. She ran an impeccable B&B. Very clean, very organized and efficient. The breakfasts were amazing with lots of choices and freshly baked goodies. I would highly recommend her place if you're traveling to La Maddalena. And the views of the sea from the balcony were amazing as you enjoyed your breakfast!

My short stay. Wish I could have stayed longer.
