1892 historical apartments

Good location for doing things along the north shore. Good value for price. Nice to have a hot tub. So nice to be able to bring our dog with us. Plenty of clean towels. Private entry area that’s shared between two apartments. Nice to have a small heater in the bedroom.

There was a smoke detector beeping with the low battery tone every 15 seconds in either the apartment above us or the hallway to the basement. We called the owner twice and left messages both times, on two separate days. He did not get back to us. It was a rough two nights’ sleep due to this. Living/dining room light was far too dim to even eat dinner in. Couch had a strange divot in the middle of the cushions. There were several tea light battery operated candles around but not a single one worked. Wished there were extra pillows to choose from.

Apartment was clean and comfortable.

The only thing we didn’t like was the temperature of the apartment. There is a window air conditioner that eventually will cool off the apartment but it wasn’t on when we got there. It was a hot day and we had to run it for a few hours before the temperature was comfortable in there.

We liked everything. It was easy to check in and the host was great. Wish we used the hot tub before leaving. The was a cute game cove and loft for the kids. There's a ton of space for a one bedroom apartment.

Not much to not like.

The unit was set up by combination lock and was easy to get into without having to meet anybody at night. Really comfortable environment. I just needed it for the night as I was traveling for business.

The sleeping arranagements weren't ideal because they didn't provide bedding for the pull out couch! And there weren't blankets in the place and it was -17 degrees (real temp, not wind chill) outside that weekend. They can just go to Costco and buy a bunch of blankets and linens and guests will be more comfortable.

It was so neatly renovated. Really cute place! The hot tub was fantastic after a long day of biking the Mesabi Trail which was just a block away.

Only regret was that Mac’s Bar had closed and so we had to bike a ways off the trail to find somewhere to eat.

I didn’t have time for breakfast unfortunately I had to leave early Nice very spacious, updated kitchen Everything went very well Easy to find and the door and locks were easy to use

Due to some very unseasonal cold and windy weather I had to heat up the unit using the baseboard heat in the living room which took some time but worked very well

Very quite and clean.

Little out of the way but worth the drive.

I loved the full kitchen; cooking while I'm away at a convention is much more money saving that eating out every meal. The grill and hot tub were wonderful to have as well!

It would definitely be nice to have a door on the bedroom 😅
