The Hogg House - a city delight for two

The room looks nice and the bed is very comfortable. You can walk to the old town in about 10 minutes.

- there are no shelves / wardrobes etc. in the room. You cannot put anything in the bathroom anywhere. - you can still hear the street with windows closed. On the other hand you cannot properly open any of the Windows so it gets quite hot. - the kitchen is poorly equipped and the dishwasher was not working - we had asked for a cod twice via booking but did not receive any reply and had to ask for it again on the arrival

Property is an updated hotel. it has been updated well.

The king bed was a little wide in the room that we had and the space between it and the bed was very narrow and a bit hard to move in and out of the bed. Otherwise the room was great. Check in was easy by contacting the contact on the instructions.

The apartment is located close by the city centre and easily reachable by car. Ample parking was available in front of the apartment. The apartment itself was very clean. Although there was no staff at the place when we arrived, we had a smooth check-in process via the phone.

We were disappointed by the mediocre facilities in the apartment. For example we missed comfortable seating, and proper storage for our clothing and luggage. All that was provided were two upright chairs with a small table; fine for breakfast, but not very comfortable for watching a movie or an extended dinner. And the room doesn't have proper closet, only a relatively small chest. We wanted to have a night in, but chose to go out once more because of this. The plus of renting an apartment over a hotel room was diminished. We stayed during a very hot weekend and it got very warm inside. There was no airco and only very limited ventilation, so we couldn't cool the place. Lastly the proprietor wasn't very communicative during booking or check-out. We sent multiple messages about the parking via Booking, but never got a reply, although parking turned out to be okay.

Very nice place! There is everything you need. Nice location, close to the city center, responsive staff!

location is good especially if you are by car, and the design of the place is very nice. you also have a full kitchen so you can be quite independent.

not great insulation for noise, you could hear the neighbours and the street.

Not far from the city center, 10min walk. Room is ok but looks smaller than the pictures shown on this site. Kitchenette is of good use

Owner's attitude when we called to inform of our arrival sounded a bit cold, the sort of "why did you call" type when it was advised to phoned on the booking voucher. No wardrobe/closet or places to hang clothes but only two hooks on a wall and four hangers Staff are of good help and another room was offered but this room was on top floor (no lift) with more steps and was simple and plain to the one we booked and they said we had to pay more for it!! TV remote control batteries were drained up and never replaced. (Things that should be checked before) Noise due to a busy main road. Windows are double glazed but you are still woken up early due to commuting traffic going into the city for work. Many better cheaper options available on this site and closer to the city center.

The hotel is located in a walking distance from the city centre. It is a very cosy, clean, and newly renovated apartment. The kitchen is well equipped, so you can easily prepare breakfast, the shop is nearby. The bed is really comfortable. The person who designed the interior is really skilled!

It is noisy - there is a wide street just below the window. It is hot inside, and no air conditioning (just a fan). It would be really good to have at least small toiletries cabinet in the bathroom. The contact with the owner should be easier.

It is a lovely property, clean, comfortable and good location. Friendly staff
