Shower soaked whole room, making floor very wet

Location was spot on, all sights of interest, restaurants and main town within around 5-7 minutes walk. Roof terrace was a bonus. Overall the reception area gave a good impression, and the owners did their best to assist our queries.

On arrival we were given an apartment which lacked the main essential kitchen facilities that we had specifically chosen this apartment for. We were staying for 11 days and chose Villa de Andas as the checklist on Booking.com, listed the facilities we would need, washing machine, microwave, iron, kettle etc. What we got was a coffee maker and a kitchen area which was unfinished and lacking any facilities. After a frustrating hour trying to contact the owner (who had only just booked us in) we found Jenny the cleaner. What a brilliant member of staff, Jenny very graciously used the language App to assist us. Eventually the owners returned and we were moved, a microwave and kettle found and an explanation that we could use the washing machine in the cleaner's room. Not quite what was listed, but a reasonable solution. The cleaning room was somewhat chaotic but we managed through the visit and would suggest the owners support the cleaning team with a second washing machine! The terrace bar never opened nor did we receive any explanation on whether it was seasonal or not at the time of our visit. More health and safety information would seem appropriate around the pool area. What we would say about the apartment, the furnishings and bedding were not of a high standard which the very nature of this building deserves as do paying guests for the daily rate. For example there was a cigarette burn on the sofa which was actually covered with the shower anti slip mat! And that was essentiall as the shower tray was slippy. Surprised that only a basic metal clothes rail rather than wardrobe was available, meaning we had to request more pillows ( needed because there was not a headboard). And the rooms are definitely not soundproof, however it was the neighbouring property which we could hear, and often early hours.

The kindness of the host was exceptional, the facilities — especially the cleanliness — were excellent, and the host coordinated with us extremely well throughout. They were also very flexible and accommodating, which made the overall experience even better.

Everything was perfect, there was zero faults. one of the best places i have ever stayed in
