"Peace and tranquility and something quite special"

10.0

Absolutely everything, if you are reading reviews thinking of staying at Sea Dream stop and book it straight away- you will not regret it - Ross has thought of everything and you are in for something quite special and unique. From the moment you book the information provided was spot on, location is perfect, bed so comfortable, a shower that wouldn’t look out of place in a 5 star hotel are just a few examples.

"Home away from home!"

10.0

We have just returned from our stay on the Sea Dream - We were pleasantly surprised at how well equipped the boat was, the host has really not missed a thing! Everything is so clean and modern,It even had Netflix (by signing in to own account) and WiFi available! We are used to staying in hotels, however this felt by-far more comfortable and had everything you needed just as if you were at home. Our stay was very quiet through the night and the two bedrooms are very spacious. We took our 3 year toddler before number 2 arrives as we wanted to do something different/ special rather than a caravan again - she absolutely loved it! We felt she was the perfect age as understood not to jump overboard and was safe going down the stairs into the galley. Located within a 2 minute walk to all the restaurants and pubs etc which we loved. We recommend ‘The Toll Bridge’. We also drove a short 20 minutes drive to Margate - Dreamland as we have never visited Kent before. We will be sure to visit again and have recommended to all our friends and family as it was a completely different spontaneous experience for us. We just wished we had stayed more than 2 nights as there was so much more we could have enjoyed and explored!

That we didn’t stay for longer!

"An unusual, comfortable and magical experience in a wonderful location."

10.0

I note this is a first review, so I will try to provide a comprehensive account. This was a wonderful surprise. The boat is beautifully decorated, totally fresh and clean and with lots of thoughtful touches, fitted with a compact but comfortable and relaxing lounge with generous sofa, TV and internet. Better than an hotel - which hotel provides chairs and table on the deck to sit in the sun and watch the tide (and ducks) flowing past? I didn't require any heating, but saw it to be present and found no difficulty drifting to sleep with a peaceful lapping of waves on the hull. There is a very good double with ensuite and the cutest single, also ensuite and a fabulous shower. I felt like the captain on my own mini- superyacht. There is a well thought out galley (kitchen) that I think is best for breafast and simple meals. No need to worry about any catering needs in Sandwich (two minutes walk from Sea Dream's peaceful mooring) that was a real find. A historic period gem almost lost in time but with plenty of excellent pubs, restaurants and cafes with friendly welcomes and some unusual shops. I learnt there are plenty of events to enjoy throughout the year and it is also handy for visiting bigger places such as Canterbury. I will certainly visit again and hope Sea Dream will be available. A luxurious adventure at less cost than a motorway hotel.

I was a little concerned on arrival as a rather high step was required to board Sea Dream. I need not have worried, the charming owner Ross arrived with a very substantial and elegant, secure and safe boarding platform and steps that meant I had no fears returning later after a great dinner and several glasses of wine. I learned Ross knows a bit about boats as in his main job he is responsible for building some of the newest design and luxurious ships. He apologised for not having the steps ready earlier as he was delayed at the Christening of a new advanced hybrid ship. I can recommend Sea Dream as a great experience for a couple with a toddler as well as someone with a disability (like my wife) who, although usually confined to a wheelchair for any distance is able to walk and navigate steps slowly .
