Nomad's Downtown Lisbon - 3BDR S Julião

Location was perfect for us - central, near the river, near a lot of the pedestrianised areas, and also on a flat road so no steep areas to walk (good for older adults and those with buggies). Apartment was very clean on arrival. Door code system worked well, plus not having keys to risk losing was great. Bedding was fine. Host's recommendations for nearby supermarkets and restaurants were helpful. There is some noise outside which might slightly disturb your sleep; but being on the fourth floor this was really at a minimum, especially considering how central the location is. Bathrooms are modern (although: no extractor fans) and showers are good. Lift worked at all times. Host was helpful, and responded in a timely way, when we had requests during our stay. Note: there was a stained and peeling area of the lounge ceiling which indicated fairly major water damage from before we arrived; but this did not bother us in any way.

1.Towels need to be better. My main towel barely big enough to wrap around me. Also, each person had two towels - one main, one hand towel - but there were no additional small towels for our hair which for this all-female group was frustrating. (We ended up paying extra to get more towels). Decent bath mats are definitely needed - to prevent water dripping on the bathroom floor when you open the shower door, and to absorb more water properly so as to reduce the risk of slipping once you move your feet onto the floor 2.Kitchen was under-stocked for any significant food prepping and cooking (not enough utensils/large bowls/etc); but if you're just using it for a cold breakfast, hot drinks and/or pre-prepped food then it's fine. 3.None of the bedrooms have cupboards. Room one has a rack to hang things on but no shelves/drawers; rooms two and three have nowhere to put clothes at all but there is a large wardrobe immediately outside room three and also more hanging and shelf space in a cupboard in the corridor between the dining room and the kitchen. It's manageable, but slightly frustrating - not serious.

Good location, comfortable

Great location and lovely apartment. Great for families. Lift in building very useful and close to lots of restaurants and amenities. Staff very helpful every step of the way.
