The air conditioner works well, and the house is spacious with plenty of room.

Out of five water heaters, only two were working, which forced us to share bathrooms and caused inconvenience. The floor was dusty, and in one of the bathrooms, the faucet was faulty and water kept running. Two air-conditioner remote controls were also not functioning. Although the owner initially responded to our complaints and seemed willing to take action, in the end many excuses were given instead of real solutions. For example, a cleaning appointment was set for 10 a.m., but later postponed to 11:30 a.m. We rushed back after breakfast to meet the 10 a.m. schedule, only to find that the timing was easily changed without consideration. When we reported that the water heater was not working, the owner’s reply was to ask if it had been malfunctioning the whole day. This left us frustrated, as we came to Penang for a holiday, not to test whether the facilities were functioning. It seems the owner did not properly check the condition of the house before renting it out, and also gave reasons for not answering our calls when we needed help to solve problems. Please also note that the ground-floor room has no air-conditioning.
