A charming and comfortable room which allowed us access to the absolutely amazing private members restaurant and bar, which was our favourite place to sit and relax with a drink in Colombo!

Modern, tasteful, and extremely comfortable rooms attached to the historic DBU building. Excellent staff and service. All meals from the VOC cafe were delicious. Access to the historic member’s bar for overnight guests. A highlight of my time in Colombo.

The cafe was handy for a quick bite and a pot of tea before starting the day. Friendly staff and good service. Meals were good. A special Thank you to Prisca for keeping in touch during my stay at the DBU and making sure that every thing was ok. Convenient location.

The location, great ambience, the DBU restaurant and cafe is exceptional and guests can access the private members club. The hotel manager is friendly and informative.

The room serving could have been better. The hotel manager was exceptional in service but when she is not around the support staff are not attentive enough. I stayed for 5 nights, and on the last two days when I returned to my room in late afternoon, it had not been cleaned or serviced. On the last day (Saturday) the room service staff had left work half day and had not cleaned and serviced my room. I had to complain and subsequently the room was serviced by a member of staff staff who had no experience in doing this sort of job and clearly didn't know how to make a bed.

Everything and more. The food was fantastic and the staff made us feel welcome at every moment.

Breakfast was excellent with good choice of menu. Choice was either Western or Sri Lankan.

Very clean, very friendly staff who all spoke English well. Eveing ab
