Modern 1-Bed Flat in Wigan

Very spacious and clean, loved how close the property was to centre of Wigan

The location of this 'gem' of a property was perfect for my requirements. There is everything that you could wish for at this flat, a lot of thought has gone into the needs / wants of a traveller. Convenience stores and eating houses are just on the street outside and the town centre is only a walk away. Leslie was so helpful from the word go and I will definitely stay at this property again in the future. What a fabulous find.

I can't say there was anything I didn't like about this property. There are deliveries to a restaurant downstairs, so if you don't like lots of activity going on round and about, then this is not the place for you. It certainly didn't spoil my stay.

It’s not a big deal but the price sometimes goes really high.. I’m a regular visitor so I keep checking and only book when it’s within my range.

A washing up bowl would make life a little easier.

Fantastic place to stay. My wife and child really stayed their vacation. This place includes everything from rice cocker to washing machine etc. Secured car park and easy access to local shops just downstairs. Comfy bed and very clean house. Sure will visit once again

The apartment was very clean and had been furnished to a decent standard. Cleanliness was something that I got the impression the host had prioritized and had done a fantastic job at doing so. I found it to be very welcoming and also spacious. It was also easy to get to not being far from the town center of Wigan and connected to all local amenities. The apartment is situated in an area where there's shops, takeaways, pubs and restaurants as well as a park that is very close by. This is an ideal place to stay if you're in Wigan for a few days to a week. It's well accommodated, situated in an ideal location and very clean and great value for money.

I found the internet to be temperamental and when it worked it wasn't very stable and the speed poor. I found that the building (not the apartment) had a funky smell that wasn't very pleasant particularly on the corridor. The building itself seemed like it needed some TLC as in places it seemed like it was poorly maintained. The door mechanism to get in for example looked like it was barely holding together with wires and internals exposed. It caught when opened which required applying some force. I also didn't have much confidence in the door lock to the property which was a smart lock and didn't seem very secure (there was some give when you push/pulled the door even when it was locked). The noise from the street was difficult to deal with sometimes especially in the morning but to the credit of the host, ear plugs were provided which helped as well as sleep masks. I found the light from the LED street lamp directly outside prevented the room from fully going dark. The bed also wasn't very comfortable.

This was a great flat (apartment) for me. I could work at the kitchen table, there was everything that I needed to self-cater and be really comfortable in my down time (tv, sofa etc). Bed was comfy. Shower (very) small but perfectly acceptable. Location was just excellent for me, ten minutes or less to the town, big supermarket, hospital and not much more to lovely walks along the canal or into the gardens of Haigh Hall or Menses Park. Walkable to Robin Park for more shopping and the DW stadium. Right near the flat itself, heaps of options for food/drink - especially at the weekend. If anything needs sorting, just let the host know and it will be taken care of. Oh and secure parking was great, I loved that everything was code access - no keys to worry about!!

The shower is small, if you're six foot tall..it might be squishy... But hot water, soap, shampoo and conditioner. Nothing that can't be worked around.

Solid room, good kitchen area, and very comfortable bed.

The only real downside is its proximity to a couple of pubs, so Friday and Saturday nights can be a bit loud. They did provide free earplugs and eye masks, though.
