KD by the Sea

The congenial hosts provided a refreshing welcome and assured us our comfort was paramount and also provided direct access through the garage due to inclement weather. The location near the village of Duck was perfect for our visit with friends, the restaurants and enjoying a small music festival. Thankfully, the hosts also provided a menu of on premise meal choices which we wish we had taken better advantage of after finally ordering and relishing their breakfast selection on the morning of our departure.

For general egress, a finished walkway to the entrance is needed, as well as, an awning over the door. Having not been down to the Outer Banks for and extended period, had forgotten about the timing of traffic during the weekend rental swaps. Fortunately, our hosts were able to provide shortcuts utilized by the locals.

I loved that meals were available when we don't feel like going out. Kat was very accommodating and cooked breakfast early so we can go out so we can enjoy the day. Also how the place was so comfortable for our mini getaway.

Fantastic, food is good and host is very nice. Highly recommend. Short walk to the beach

The location was nice and quiet. The space was better than staying in a hotel. There was a mini fridge, mini toaster oven, coffee maker and disposal cutlery/plates. It was very nice of the host Kat to come show us the space and introduce herself as well.

Everything was great. Wish we had longer.

The owners are so kind and helpful - and flexible. We were able to safely store our bikes so we could enjoy riding them to the nearby beach and paths.
