Seagrass Studios - 88 North Marine Road

The size of the property meant me and my daughter weren’t on top of each other. The location was excellent for getting to and from the open air theatre with ease. As well as making our way to both bays. Kitchen had everything we needed to prepare our own meals and the bathroom was of high quality and plenty of hot water (compared to other places we’ve stayed) Size of sofa be.

The email said the lock box would have a logo on it but there wasn’t, it just had a number 3 on so made it slightly confusing to locate keys. In the bedroom there were black/ brown hairs all over the bottom sheet so we ended up putting the throw from the bottom of the bed over them. The blinds were broken in places and made it awkward to open them and the windows. Provision of fans or something similar would have been good due to the heat and not much ventilation from the windows.

A great amount of distance from all the attractions, we found it surprisingly easy to park as well. The apartment itself is beautiful and modern and felt very homely.

Only downside was the stairs which cannot be helped and the double bed is on the smaller side but the sofa bed was equally as comfy and felt slightly bigger.

Good location to Open Air Theatre only 10 mins walk. Good shower and clean and tidy.

Windows covered in bird poo and looked like they hadn’t been cleaned for some time. Blinds all snapped and broken in lounge they look a bit unsightly. Parking was advertised however when we arrived we found out it was only for 2 or 3 hours at a time and car had to be moved. There are day scratch cards available however the owner does not provide these. We managed to get one for the Sat into Sunday from a lovely shop owner. The external area around the building could do with a clean and tidy. For the cost of the stay parking cards for your duration should be included. I appreciate the owners need to purchase these but they should cover this within the day stay rate.

The flat was nicely decorated and modern inside, and it had a lovely seagrass wicker theme, WiFi was included which was good for my child in the evenings. The tv in the living room had BBC Iplayer so we were able to watch programs.

Upon arrival we had to search for the crib we requested, upon finding it in a large cupboard we set it up and the crib was absolutely filthy and heavily stained all over, the cleanliness lacked in many places especially the floor underneath the bed (I dropped my babies bottle and we discovered the floor in the bedroom under the bed hasn't been cleaned for a very long time) as the dust was so thick. We also found the cups in the kitchen were dirty and not clean from previous drink use. There wasn't any complimentary tea or coffee which would have gone very much appreciated. The shower was temperamental with heat, and the noise from the street is rather loud as the windows are old fashioned. The hallway up to the flat smelt heavily of cigarettes, yet it stated no smoking, and the front lock to the flat was difficult and could be temperamental. It was also difficult being on 3rd floor as the stairways are small and there's a lot of stairs for little legs. Parking is timed and limited.

Lovely apartment situated within short distance to both north and south bay.
