The apartment is structure, layout and location is beautiful

The cleanliness of the apartment was far below acceptable standards. The entire space needs a thorough deep clean. The kitchen, in particular, was in poor condition—utensils such as spoons, forks, and cups were filthy, with dried food stuck to nearly every fork in the drawer. The cupboards were in disarray, and the plug points were soiled with visible dirt.The sink cupboard smells and there is an overwhelming amount of dirt between the sink cupboard and washing machine. Pots, pans, and bowls all need to be cleaned. Some windows were functional, while others could not be opened. Lighting throughout the unit was inconsistent, with several bulbs not working. The bathroom vanity mirrors were cracked and dirty, and the main bedroom was particularly unkept, with an alarming amount of dirt collected under the bed. Additionally, the TV services were unusable due to dead remote batteries, and the overall condition of the furniture and cutlery was outdated and in need of replacement. Before offering this apartment to future guests, I strongly recommend addressing these maintenance and hygiene issues. Investing in proper cleaning, repairs, and modernizing furnishings—especially in the kitchen and bathrooms—is essential. The current state of the property does not reflect well on the venue and fails to meet basic standards

The place we initially booked was not up to standard and safety was a concern, I contacted the agency which swiftly changed accommodation for us ,I'm glad to say the staff was very good.

The hosts were professional and friendly

There were issues with the unit: it is disappointing that even after highlighting these issues that no maintenance person came as your admin was advised on wats app. a representative came to the unit and queried if it was okay for the maintenance person not to attend due to overtime costs. We find this pathetic. 1. main bathroom lights not working, 2. 2nd bathroom showerhead is faulty, spiral tube/cord spray all over 3. hot water only in main bathroom basin 4. dust in the one room - image was sent 5. fridge never freeze, items spoilt e.g. ice-cream 6. the main door couldn't lock properly, image was wats app 7. insects on the bed 8. Wi-Fi and tv didn't work during loadshedding 9. no indication when booking that there are numerous stairways within the unit, what if we had elderly with us as you mentioned family orientated accommodation. 10. no signage within the building for direction to carpark and unit 11. misled that there is air-conditioning, refer to point 13 of conditions of letting. we will definitely not be returning; I hope these issues are resolved so someone else don't have the similar experience.
