Enjoy a spacious 3 BR home

Great communication from the host, easy check in, beautifully clean and spacious, felt like home.

Lock didn't work on bathroom door which was okay for us but might be awkward if there's a group of friends staying there for example.

Attention: This review is for an alternative property we were offered as this one was no longer available after booking it several months before (booking.com advised us to do this); there is no option for leaving a review for the actual property we stayed in. The alternative property: the property is below standard, if anything, it has good water pressure

This is the property we had booked originally but not the one we ended up staying in as the landlord sent a message 10 days before our stay that it was no longer available; there is no way of leaving this review for said property. Rather than letting booking.com organise a replacement, the landlord offered two alternatives of which we picked one. We travel a lot and use booking.com regularly, and this has been the first time I have requested an official complaint as the alternative property is below standard and did not feel safe. The kitchen was not equipped for the amount of people staying and the cooker/oven did not work, all rooms showed signs of mould. The entrance hall smelt of urine and mould, there were cleaning tools lying around, cobwebs, peeling wallpaper and water stains in all cupboards and some on the ceilings. It was not the cleanest, there was a hole in one of the walls. Beds are uncomfortable, I could not see any smoke detectors and the electricity metre was not boxed in for safety; not sure either if the loft conversation follows planning permissions. Communication with the landlord was strange as they offered to check and sort out the cooker for example but then nothing further and clearly no visit or fixing of the problem.

Lovely quiet area. Very clean property. Good location for walking into Newcastle.

It says parking on site, but the parking was a public car park a walk away.
