The Sunset Beach Resort & Spa, Taling Ngam, Ko Samui

A lovely stay, peaceful resort and the team are very friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived. It was a bonus to be given a free upgrade and a fresh coconut upon arrival. The team are really attentive and it was lovely for them to include us in their Songkran celebrations. We had breakfast here every morning as it was included and, the guy at the egg station cooked up perfect, tasty omelettes every time. The food available for tea was very delicious too. We would recommend staying here.

Nothing from our perspective. We weren't aware until we arrived that the hotel is undergoing a soft opening. Therefore, services such as the spa and full restaurant menu aren't available. We are mindful that we arrived at the start of low season - this did not affect our stay, but mentioning here for those who may want to access services such as the spa in the immediate future.

Staff very friendly, doing their best under circumstances

Location very remote, no activities at or close by for adults or kids. Food ok, but basic. Aged interior, no spa services or anything else promised on Booking.com. Prices though at European levels which does not reflect reality of quality. Resort is doing

Lovely views in a very spacious room. Very comfy seats on the balcony to watch the sunset. As well as direct access to the beach. Gym/fitness centre on site too. But two or three sports machines no longer work, out of service. The hotel doesn't operate at 100%, as is stated at reception. The restaurant Ananas For dinner, the last order can be placed at 19:30 The food is very tasty, the portions small and manageable. But we got our fill. Prices are a bit higher than elsewhere. The well-presented breakfast is repetitive, and the bread isn't very good because it's industrial. Unfortunately, the baguette is inedible. The coffee is very tasty. The staff are incredibly kind and attentive.

Parasols are missing for all the deck-chairs at the pool and on the beach. Many are defective The floor could be cleaner and, above all, washable.

It's a beautiful peaceful and quiet place. We really liked the garden. The staff is lovely. We came here after we stayed at Chaweng Beach which is much more crowded. Here there were only a handful of people which is more to our liking. Watching the sunset everyday was wonderful.

We liked everything but I can imagine some people may find it abit too quite and remote, You should be aware that there very few restaurants on a walking distance. The restaurant at the resort was good but we like to go explore other restaurants or food options. We gladly used the free bicycles the resort had but renting a scooter is recommended if you want to go explore. Also there were a lot of mosquitoes so a fly screen and a ceiling fan would have been a nice addition. Now there is just air-conditioning and no fly screen which requires you to keep the sliding doors closed.

Everything is exceptional. The location is absolutely sensational. If what you are looking for is quiet, rest and relaxation in paradise then this is the place for you. The staff cannot do enough for you. Joy, Pun, Tom and the rest of the team will make you feel like family. We will be back without doubt.

Jacquizi bath didn’t work!

Stuff was very helpful , receptionist was professional Breakfast was good .

Almost 50% from hotel facility was not working , Pool was not clean , no spa , hotel very far from Airport and city center .

Stuff +1 , food was excellent . location is nice and calm

Gym and spa were dirty . And in the gym were a lot of defect equipment.

The stuff was indeed incredible! So helpful in absolutely everything! We had a small issue on our first night , as I mentioned it to the stuff they took immediate action and made our stay unforgettable! We only stayed 2 nights but we didn’t even want to leave the resort! You have insane beach front to take a walk , sun beds , beautiful pool and if you really want there are local restaurants walkable distance. Few , but delishes

The closest stores are a bit far away and it is a bit far from airport .. but the peacefulness compensate it all . I would not imagine to stay closer to the city
