"Excellent faculties and beautiful decor."

Decor, location, bathrooms, proximity to shops

No area for dogs to pop to toilet except paving stones. Maybe some artificial grass?

Really well equipped for a very comfortable stay. Arranged over three floor with the upper bedroom having an en-suite bathroom. Close to the town centre with numerous pubs and restaurants, plus a market on the main street most weekdays. We can recommend The Railway pub just 50 yards down the road.

Nothing!

"October Weekend in Skipton"

8.0

The property felt homely and was furnished tastefully, with all required amenities provided, everything you'd need for any length of stay. All the beds were comfortable, and no complaints were made in that department. The kitchen was well kitted out, including a fridge freezer, washing machine, dish washer, oven, hob, microwave (issues reported), and wine chiller. We also liked that there were 3 separate bathrooms, all with showers and toilets, with the 1st floor bathroom also having a stand-alone bath. Perfect for our party of 8, especially when getting ready for a night out. If you want more privacy, then I would recommend claiming the 2nd floor 'pent house' room as quickly as possible, as this comes with an ensuite shower and its own television. The location was perfect for us, only a 5-10 minute walk into the centre of town, a supermarket across the road, and a great little pub just around the corner called 'The Railway Inn' that does a fantastic Sunday roast. Nice touches were the coffee machine, including pods and sugar, the Amazon echo dot in the dining room which we used to listen to the radio every day, and the provided shampoo, conditioner, body wash and hand wash, which was fortuitous as I'd forgotten to bring my own.

There were a couple of slightly concerning issues and one minor issue. The main issue was noticed as soon as we entered the property, that being a strong smell of gas or drains in the downstairs areas, and this was reported immediately. Within the hour, a gas engineer was in attendance, and they were left to undertake their work. The engineer informed that a very small leak had been discovered near the gas meter, which they had fixed. However, the smell never went away and, in fact, grew stronger over our 2 day stay. This was reported again prior to our departure. We also had an issue with the microwave, which stopped working whilst halfway through cooking the first time we used it and showed an error code on the display. After switching off at the plug socket and then switching back on, the microwave continued to operate under power with no way of switching it off, so it remained switched off at the mains for the remainder of the stay. This was also reported. The only other issue was that the blind in the smaller of the two front bedrooms on the 1st floor was broken. The blind was already down when we entered the property and was unable to be lifted, so remained down for the entire stay. This wasn't reported as it wasn't a major issue.

lovely house perfect for groups.

could have done with a few more coffee pods and toilets rolls. one of the beds was a little uncomfortable if you are tall and the blind was broken in one bedroom.

"Great location , very close to the canal and town centre"

7.0

Great location across the road was Tesco , a short walk to a local pub The Railway and the town centre was very close

There was a funny smell in the hallway and the electrics had popped on the left hand side of the kitchen, so the dishwasher or sockets didn’t work.

"Superb"

The property was as expected, very clean, well appointed, and close to amenities.

The parking situation created problems for our party, and we found it problematic, especially as we had a disabled family member.
