The Long Hall 2 bed ground floor annexed apartment - sleeps 6

2 bedrooms with en suite bathrooms.Phil who met us was ok

The outside of the property needed a good clean up.As soon as the door was opened there was a smell of damp, we traced one of the reasons to the first bedroom, The bed head was up to the outside wall and when looked at there was mould and cobwebs behind the bed.It smelt so much so that the window had to be left open all night and it was a cold one..There was dead flies and insects in the sky lights.It was not a pleasant stay.This had been mentioned before by another guest previously and nothing seemed to have been done.Initially it seemed ok apart from the smell of damp but other things showed up.When Phil was told he said he hadn't noticed the damp smell yet another guest had mentioned it strongly in his review. This booking was to be a special treat in Chesterfield for my daughter visiting from Spain, she was very unhappy trying to sleep in a cold bedroom with who knows what behind the headboard and bed.I felt so bad having taken booking. coms reviews on this property as correct.

Beautiful property and super clean throughout. Host was really friendly and entry instructions were clear - communication was spot on.

That pets are welcome but the garden is shared. I was really anxious that my dog would run into Phil's husky but when I explained this, Phil said he would make sure they didnt end up being in the garden at the same time. I think it should be more clear in the listing that the property does not have it's own private outdoor space.

Location was brilliant, the place itself was very nice and clean with great amenities. Phil and Buddy were the highlight for my children!
