Mountain Retreat for 4 in Are Ski-In Ski-Out Apt- No Windows

Vi var 3 personer men fick bara beddat för 2. Vi sa till men blev ingen ändring på hela veckan. Vi kunde inte sätta på induktion spisen eller så var den trasig. Vi saknade sängbord och brödrost.

The mobile keys didn’t work. Horrible customer service.

I booked the cheapest place I could find, which was still quite expensive - but it was above my expectations. I think it might have been because we got a last minute free upgrade, our original booking had only 2 bedrooms and sauna wasn't mentioned. The building is right by a ski lift so really good for intermediate/advanced skiers who can use red slopes and anchor lifts to move around the resort. Not so nice for beginners as you'll need to driive/take a cab or walk a lot to a bus to get to the beginner-friendly areas.

Location is a bit far and a steep uphill climb from downtown Åre. There's a cable car but it's pretty slow and doesn't come too often, also can be very crowded on the way up. Best to get there by car or very expensive taxi. Overall decent amenities, but sauna element was small for the size of the sauna and took a long time to get it up to a decent temperature. Still the sauna was an unexpected bonus so I'm not complaining. The view was pretty great, overlooking the lake and facing south-west. However there were no drapes and the sun was a bit much in the afternoon. Not a big fan of the completely unmanned facility, I really like a good old fashioned front desk.

- The communication before the stay was a bit much, with lots of messsages and information as well as background checks and filling out forms etc - A bit unpractical to not be able to leave luggage at the location before check in and after check out

NO WINDOWS - felt like a prison. When two rooms are booked together you expect them both to be the same. However one room on our booking had an exponential upgrade, and we left with no answers or words from management even after our stay had ended. Very hot. Even with the thermostat off, the apartment was a sweat box. One small pillow per person, and was unable to get more even after requesting it several times. Also had to hunt down the cleaners to ask for more essentials such as bin bags and toilet rolls, as no extras were supplied. Insufficient cutlery for 4 people. Cups with NO handles, which results in burns?! Fire alarm went off in the apartments, which we understand happens. However the alarm continued for further 45 minutes after the fire brigade told us we could return to our apartments - we then all had a headache, after the alarm sounding for nearly 2 hours. At the end of our stay once stripped the bed linens I was appalled to find a blood stained pillow, which I had been sleeping on for 6 days!! Absolutely disgusting. We’re beyond frustrated at how management handled our stay, from start to finish, and would NOT recommended.

Online key to the flat has not been working for me and I had iPhone 12. Alternative keys should be arranged, also there was no windows
