"Quirky and cute"

8.0

Loved the peaceful and tranquil location. Ease of getting to St Andrews, Crail, Anstruther, Cambo … The quirky furnishings were fun and interesting. The bed was very comfortable. It was thoughtfully and well equipped. The grounds were lovely for wandering or sitting. Bed linens and towels were good quality. Lashings of hot water.

The kitchen is very dated. Drawers wouldn’t stay closed, the stove had lost its heating numbers, making cooking difficult, and the drawers and cupboards were chaotic. There was a slight feeling of everything having been done in the 199o’s when the property was rebuilt and nothing having been changed since. The weird bathroom mural!

"Idyllic stay in a charming cottage."

10.0

Gorgeous property, the ambiance was great, everything we needed, comfortable. The orchard was beautiful, and the cottage so charming.

We couldn’t find the place. Direction were terrible. We asked a local farmer who knew where we needed to go . But once we were there it was smooth sailing.

"Lovely, rustic feel to our stay, great location"

The cosiness, the quiet location, the log fire

The bed was a little small for us and too, too warm, whatever the materials were made of. We didn’t sleep well.

"Ok and fine for what we needed."

Location as we were there for a golf competition that was at kings barns then at andrews then Carnoustie.

Window in double room catch was broken so window did not close. When we stripped the bedding as requested the duvet was badly stained .
