De Ja Vu - Best Location in Uluwatu

The place was good but, no reception, message replies slow, entrance road bad, no hot water, toilet ventilation not mosquito protected, toilet brush on floor, no mirror lights on mirror. These are not critics but to make facilities better. No proper name on Google maps, hard to find until you ask to tell the taxi

Had a wonderful stay at De Ja Vu! Excellent and friendly staff who patiently waited for us to arrive despite us booking and arriving late by scooters jn the rain. The facilities were immaculate, the room beautiful and fragrant, and bed super comfy. They helped us with our every need and made our stay an absolute pleasure. We will be coming back!

Super spacious and clean room. Comfortable bed and linen. This is honestly the best place I have stayed in a while. Massive room with high ceiling which feels amazing. Bathroom as spacious. Best shower spray I had in Bali. Huge amount of water. Outdoor area is cosy and super pleasant in a quiet area close by from Uluwatu point surf spot and restaurants. Staff was really nice and super helpful!

Construction in Uluwatu is on every corner. not extremely loud, but not quiet either.

Extremely Disappointing Stay – Do Not Book De Ja Vu Villa I don’t usually write complaints, but my experience at De Ja Vu Villa has left me incredibly frustrated and utterly disappointed. I feel compelled to share this because I believe future guests deserve to know the truth about what they’re getting into. Here are the most glaring issues I faced during my stay: 1. No Hot Water: For the entire week I was there, I had no hot shower. The owner’s “solution” was to send me to a local spa or sauna. This is absurd! When paying £110 per night for a hotel, I expect the basics – including a hot shower in the privacy of my own room. This was never mentioned in the listing, and frankly, I find it completely unacceptable. 2. Noise from Construction: My room was right next to a construction site, with constant noise from power tools, jackhammers, and petrol-powered cement mixers starting at 8 a.m. and continuing well into the night. When I raised the issue with the owner, she dismissively told me that most guests leave their rooms during the day. First of all, that was never mentioned in the listing, and second, it’s not reasonable to expect guests to leave just to escape noise. I even sent her videos of the noise, but she claimed she couldn’t hear it. I found this response utterly disrespectful. 3. Frequent Power Outages: Three times a day, the power went out. No Wi-Fi, no A/C, no lights. I run my own business in the UK and rely on stable internet for work. The lack of power and connectivity made it impossible for me to get any work done. As a business owner, I hold myself to the highest standards of service. The owners here, however, seem to have no understanding of that. 4. Lack of Cleanliness and Service: My room was only cleaned once during my 7-day stay. I was told that due to bad weather, laundry couldn’t be done, which is laughable when there’s a laundry service two minutes down the road. The service was appalling, and the room was left dirty. 5.

Beautiful room, comfortable bed, great toiletries that smelled lovely

The road to the hotel is still just a dirt road so slippery and muddy when raining. Construction next door. A few upgrades that could be great would be breakfast, hair dryer and an umbrella in the room/reception (we got one after asking)
