Marlin's Palm Oasis - Beach House, Amazing Pool, BBQ Area

I liked there were toys for my kids and beach supplies like a tent and beach toys and floaties.

I’ve heard not great things about the overall location so it made me uneasy.

There is a lot to love about Marlin's Palm Oasis in Port Richey, Florida. First, when we arrived, it felt inviting and we felt comfortable, almost immediately. It was staged well and cleaned up nicely, except for a few small things. We stayed during Christmas week 2024. There are plenty of places to kick back and relax, from the couches to the bedrooms. There are TVs in every room and the pool was extremely clean. We were tempted to go for a cold swim. Pets are welcome at Marlin's but check with the property management before bringing them along. There will be a pet fee. There are plenty lot of dishes to use, some seasoning and spices in the cabinet, and many k-pods for the keurig in the kitchen. Look around the place so you can make the most use of what they have to offer. We only used one room for sleeping. The one closest to the street. The bed we slept in was very comfortable to us. It seemed like a memory foam/spring hybrid mattress. Very supportive and we slept well. I recommend you bring your own pillows from home. The property had plenty of blankets, towels, washcloths, sheets, toilet paper, paper towels, and other items you might need to keep a home going. They also had items in the closet, in the room between the kitchen and the pool area, for pool use (pool towels and kids' toys).. The rules of the house are simple to follow and there is a reason they are in place. They give you all the information you need in the folder located on the table when you walk in the door. There is information about trash days and recycling days. They pick up very early in the morning, so it's best to get the bins out the night before. They have framed prints of instructions/rules, helpful numbers, and information to contact the property management, should you need to call them for anything. If you do need them and you text instead of call, they are very quick to respond.

The laundry room/garage was tidied up but the doors up in the rafters being used as shelves made us a little nervous. There is one bathroom. Not a big deal for two people but may be an issue for a family. We found an empty drink bottle under the bed. The rules clearly state, no food or drinks in the bedrooms. It's kind of a bummer the bottle was missed by the cleaning crew. One of the blankets, in the room with the bunk beds, had some odd stain on it. The pool cushions outside also had some wear and stains. . . But that's expected. It's a pool area. The house was cleaned up decently but a few things seemed to have been overlooked.

Although the water was freezing my kids still enjoyed the pool. It was a great way to keep them busy. My 1 year old really loved the kitchen set.

We enjoyed our stay. I would just recommend leaving more toilet paper, paper towels and trash bags out for us to have access too. We had ran out towards the end of our stay. The kitchen set could of used a quick wipe down but nothing I couldn't handle myself.

The beds weren’t very comfortable. The bath towels were like tissues-they were very small and thin. The noise carries through the entire house, so if someone wakes up and makes coffee, everyone can hear.
