The Rock House - Terrace Apartment - in Heart of the City

Lovely apartment with easy check in and access to the town. Just a few points for improvement: - Light bulbs out in both bedrooms - No bin bags in most bins - so how do you take them out? - No mirror in back bedroom - Upstairs flat is extremely noisy. Woke us up at 6.45am! Beware if you have kids and want them to sleep. - The emergency exit door goes nowhere…

A few minor issues like lighting and squeaking doors. Steps leading up to the property. A bit difficult to locate initially

The location was fantastic at the top of Princes St and on Carlton Hill. A very short walk from the main railway station or if coming from the airport St Andrews Square tram stop. Idea position and a very pleasant faux victorian ambience, which given the buildings were used by a pair of early photographers completely appropriate. Clean and in mostly good repair.

Too many lightbulbs had failed and not been replaced, the initial door code that was sent was wrong (very poor after a long day on the train). The sound proofing from upstairs was non existent and there were Bibles in every room (why?). The bathroom ceiling was bare plaster and looked unfinished. The property pics had been shot with the widest of wide angle lenses on the lightest of light days, the flat is in truth small and quite dark, but to be fair none the worst for it.

The location.

The house had a horrible smell drainge-egg smell. The front door was very difficult to close and open. The toilet taps were very hard to turn. The carpet in the whole house was rough and hard to walk on. Also the carpet and the house had a lot of dust. We were also provided with the wrong door number. I feel the customer care was not very professional. The property looks very different on website. I was disappointed with the property.
