Prachtige accommodatie met privé zwembad en buitendouche..

De bladeren van de bomen kwamen tegen het dak, waardoor je 's nachts last had van het geluid van de bladeren die over het dak schuurde.

Het eigen zwembad is geweldig. Wij hielden rekening met een soort dompelbad, maar het zijn echt volwaardige zwembaden. Het eten is verder ook goed verzorgd zowel in de avond als voor het ontbijt.

Sun Shade Resort truly stood out as our favourite accommodation during our Sri Lankan adventure. The experience was simply perfect, beginning with the delightful private pool right outside our room, offering a tranquil and romantic escape. Each evening, we were treated to an absolutely delicious buffet dinner, showcasing the best of Sri Lankan cuisine. Beyond the resort's impeccable amenities and dining, its location proved to be an excellent base for exploring the region's iconic attractions. We found it incredibly convenient to visit Sigiriya, Minneriya National Park, and Polonnaruwa. If you're looking for a relaxing, well-located, and truly memorable stay in Sri Lanka, Sun Shade Resort is an absolute must.

Nothing, a stay to remember forever. In March 2025 there wasn't actually a spa onsite but they have partnered with a spa 100 metres up the road, perhaps there are plans to add a spa later.

The staff were super friendly at all times. We really loved the food, breakfast has a big variety of dishes and it was delicious! The bungalow is amazing too, a comfortable and beautiful place in the middle of nature with a private pool - we enjoyed a lot! I highly recommend!

At the bungalow the WiFi is unstable but at the restaurant it is good.

We stayed at Sun Shade Resort & it was one of the memorable Hotel stay in our life. It was a well maintained property which includes all facilities for us. We had a private pool which includes exceptional floating breakfast arrangement in the pool. It was a nice experience for us. Room service & Dinner buffet were extraordinary. We enjoyed a lot. So finally we would like to recommend anyone who wish to take a new experience, visit this amazing place

this hotel is beautiful, the rooms are great and also the gardens, restaurant and staff are so lovely - this is possibly my favourite place I have ever stayed! relaxing and also in a good location for day trip activities. I cant wait to return

Absolutely fantastic stay! Place is brand new, the rooms are specious and the bathroom is huge and comfortable. The private pool and nice terrace were our highlight and spent plenty of time there. It is located slightly on the outside of town, but also walking distance from everything you need, so we loved it. Great to watch the fruit and veggie garden. Also have to mention fantastic manager, who took such a great care of us, answered all of our questions and request.

The food was not our favorite
