Perfect location, just 2 minutes from the center of everything in monopoli! Apartment was very big comparing to other in similar prices and the owner is super kind (even though he doesn't speak english, there's no problem with communication :D)

If you turn on both ACs and the kitchen/light power may go off 😅

The host Gianni and his cousin (the owner Angelo) were very welcoming and helpful, as were their family. Communication with them was excellent, with both living close by. All of our requests were met and nothing appeared to be to much trouble for them. We were greeted with the keys when we arrived and provided with useful information. The property was very clean, which is usually a good sign. The property is a period town house which has been very tastefully modernised. It is very well located (and maintained) within the old town, with just about everything required being right on the doorstep. This includes the water front, restaurants, shops (both general retail and food) as well as 'Gran Forno Santa Caterina', the excellent bakery/patisserie owned by Angelo and his family. (You really must try some of their delicious sweet as well as savoury treats) Considering how close we were to the town centre there was very little late night noise, which was pleasantly surprising. We would highly recommend CASA SANTA CATERINA 1 as a place to stay if you plan to visit Monopoli and the surrounding area. Thank you so much Angelo, Gianni and your family. We do hope that one day we may all meet each other again.

There was very little not to like, as the property is very much as described and as shown in the photographs. Anything we may not have liked (which was minimal) was more down to our own personal preferences rather than the property itself.
