Luxurious City Retreat 3 Bed 3 Bath Near CBD

Very nice place for our family of 5. Close to many food places and a Woolworths. Not far from downtown christchurch.

Beds need to be replaced very uncomfortable.

the mattress was very comfortable.

The property is spacious and very clean. It does seem luxurious as advertised.

The property has high-end appliances like a Miele dishwasher and oven, but it’s surprising that there’s no coffee maker. As a coffee drinker, this made mornings a bit difficult. I’d recommend the host invest in one.

paper towels and tissues well stocked bathrooms lots of hot water it was warm the dishwasher with capsules supplied easy to use oven kitchen equipment - especially having scissors plenty of crockery carpark at the front door

downstairs carpet cleanliness - there were fluff, hair and bits (including a toe nail!) on the carpet so we had to vacuum the area, especially as we were in stocking feet/bare feet as requested. the bathmats were not clean - they felt and looked like they had not been refreshed for our visit - long dark hairs on two of them (we all have light coloured hair). one of the towels in the upstairs ensuite had marks on it - did not know if it had been refreshed for our visit or has permanent stains. It made a good bath mat as it felt cleaner than the bathmat. there was an awful smell in the showers in the ensuite downstairs and the upstairs bathroom immediately after the shower - not so bad on the second day. the tv remote is difficult to use and we could not work out the volume control. we were glad there were only 3 of us - there are insufficient dining and lounge chairs for 6 people. the stairs are really steep with top and bottom winders. we left our suitcases downstairs because it would have been a struggle to get them up the stairs. while the master has a generous wardrobe, there is no room for a suitcase on the floor. two of us received insect bites in bed there no teaspoons
