Gorgeous Shepherds Hut - Walk to Beach & Pub

Clever use of space and very comfortable … everything I needed 👍

Squeaky bed pulley and some antics with door mechanisms

The facilities were good, clean The bed was very comfortable and the water was nice and hot

The hut was in a corner in the driveway of the house so felt a bit isolated with no views I couldn't lock the door from the inside and it took 2 days for anyone to respond to my issue so I slept 2 nights with the door unlocked which I was bit annoyed about being a single female I felt that if I was a man I would have struggled with the toilet and shower

Location was very good, nice and quiet - peaceful - easy access to beaches, eateries, pubs, Chichester. Very good for the dog - he had great fun on the sandy beach at West Wittering and the pebble beach at East... . The Hut was lovely and clean, warm and quirky: the bed worked on a remote to raise it up to ceiling, when not in use, so you can sit under it on the benches. Good use of space.

There wasn't much we didn't like about the Shepherds Hut. It is very small but bijoux - very unique. Would have been handy to have had a small microwave, poss over kettle area, but it's workable.

Very lost

When we arrived, all the bed linen and towels were left on the bed, all were very damp/wet to the point where we couldn’t use a big towel after a shower

Perfect bolt hole for me and my dog. Close to beach and nearby coffee shop. Great for cycling and lots of walking routes. Beach about a 20 minute walk.

Wifi struggled a little inside. Was working from outside as weather was lovely and it was fine outside.

Nice driveway in. Everything clean.

No instructions for hob.

Very nicely decorated, extremely compact but serviceable. Liked the privacy screen and very small outside area and the location was quiet and close to the beach.

Rather annoyingly a car was parked in The Hut's parking place immediately beside the property. It's a small parking space and the car was positioned so that entry to the property was very awkward, especially with bags/cases. I tried to locate owner with no luck. So I phoned the number on the holiday booking and asked if the owner could be sought. After 2 hours I had heard nothing so I phoned again to be told by a different person they knew nothing about it but that he would contact the owners and have it removed. It remained until the following day and no one either phoned or came round to apologise. Not impressed. Secondly the wifi was very poor as they appear to have run it off the other properties rather than dedicating it specifically. This was an inconvenience as life today is very much enhanced by wifi and we found it frustrating.
