The room was very big and clean.

It wasn't possible to open and close the door on our own. We always had to call the room service. You don't habe a own room key or a code to open the door. In case of emarcency it could be very dangerous. You should also read the description carefully. The hotel is a love hotel. The main perpuse of the hotel is not staying there for one night, but for a few houres for having sex there.

"We had a good time, lots of fresh air, beach walks and cultural experiences."

We had 2 fridges and a microwave in the room, which was very spacious (40sq m.) Although the room was 'smoking' the staff had aerated well before our arrival, and we could have the windows open. Lots of windows; plenty of light. Very quiet room on the 4th floor. There was also a 'room fresh' spray which we could use. The property was further from the station than we expected, but it was close to the sand dunes, where the kite festival was being held. That was our main priority. The staff were very helpful, even though their English was limited and our Japanese is limited.

The internet was patchy.

Some people may not know what a "Love Hotel" is in Japan. One might want to read up on this. As far as the room, my needs were met and even exceeded, so this is good. Jet bath, shower, large room, great view all good. Even options to order food and have it delivered to the room, though I didn't try it.

What is not explained during the booking, and this is the read about love hotel on your own. I really did not like being locked into my room. That is right, you are reading correctly. You are locked into your room and the only way you can leave your room is by calling the front desk and asking them to unlock the room for you. Weird, weird, weird. So if there is a fire, you had better hope it is not where the office is as your room could become an oven. Given this idea, there was no fire escape ladder (we were on the 6th floor). If this doesn't bother you, then you will like to room I think.
