Great location - so close to all central areas within walking distance. Faced away from street so quiet with view of castle. Very clean. Spacious. Good bed linen and very comfortable beds (I think memory foam layer).

I spent a long time researching Lisbon accommodation and settled upon Carmo 43 as the apartments looked a good spec with nice design. Disappointed as obviously once a good spec (Smeg appliances/ simple design) but now shabby: patches on walls, paper peeling off, dirty foot prints on ceiling above top bunk, dirty looking rug that needs replacing and marks on sofa. Although apartment was very clean this shabbiness did not lead to a feeling of being able to relax and be comfortable. Also as others have mentioned, the bunk beds next to the entrance is not good design. Also toilet cistern dripped all night. Gave feedback to Ando living but their response was ‘well take on board your feedback blah blah’.

The room had a slight smell of sewage Wednesday asked for a fan as it got a bit hot at night and was told one would be brought to us however it wasn’t The shower drain wasn’t great and would drain very slowly Would be nice to be proved with some slippers

The location is excellent—just a 3-minute walk from Rossio Train Station, about 5 minutes from the metro and bus connections, and within roughly 15 minutes’ walking distance of most major attractions in downtown Lisbon. There is also a very popular bifana restaurant right down the street, which was a nice bonus. My room did not face the street, so it was relatively quiet. From the balcony, I could even see Castelo de São Jorge, which was a lovely view. The photos I shared were taken either from the room or from the outside of the building and one was the menu of the bifana restaurant downstairs.

I enjoyed my stay very much. The only minor issue was that the gap under the room door seemed a bit large, which allowed some hallway noise to come through. I placed a towel along the bottom of the door at night to help reduce the sound. Fortunately, everyone was very quiet in the evenings, so it did not affect my stay significantly.
