Adare -4x4 Recommended

The location is perfectly situated off the beaten track. Although it is remote, we felt very safe and our needs well attended to by both the host and the local caretaker. There is so much do do for the outdoor enthusiast with a dam, forest, trails, cave and berg river very close to your doorstep. The scenery is amazing from the large porch/veranda area, and a small viewing area over the valley about 30m from the house. The cottage has all you need from a self-catering point of view and is very spacious with 2 bathrooms, 2 main bedrooms, 1 room with 2 single beds, another large room with 4 double bunk beds, open plan kitchen and lounge area with fireplace. We were unable to do all the outdoor activities that are available during our stay and hence our family will be going back in future with friends.

When it is raining for a long period it will be necessary to make use of a 4x4 vehicle to get to the location, mainly due to the condition of the dirt road from Underberg on the Bushman's Nek route to the turnoff to the Adare property gate, and to a lesser extent the route through the forest on the property itself to the cottage.
