Villa Mats - Private property with seaside sauna

The location couldn’t be better: peaceful, surrounded by nature, and yet easy to reach. Perfect place to relax and unwind.

The cottage was very comfortable, beautifully decorated, and spacious. The location was peaceful and set in a beautiful area. We really enjoyed our stay and I can highly recommend it.

The forest surrounding the house is beautiful and pristine. The air is incredibly fresh thanks to the surrounding pine trees. The house has a comfortable corner for watching movies on the TV; the modern TV allows you to connect any of your devices for watching movies in the evening.

The house is very small. The stated area includes two additional small houses with two beds each, which are located further down the slope. If you're traveling with a family or a group of more than four people, the others will have to run up and down the stairs to the bathroom/shower. The stairs themselves are quite steep and long, so you won't have much room to run. The house itself is very small, there's barely room to turn around in the bedrooms. You have to enter only one at a time, otherwise it's uncomfortable. All the closets are filled with the owners' belongings or extra bedding, so there's nowhere to put your own things, and given the small size of the house, this becomes a real problem. Mice live under the house. Every night, they sneak into the kitchen through the hole in the floor where the water is supplied. First they climb into the trash can, then climb onto the table, we found traces of their activity on the table. Besides making sleep quite uncomfortable, mice are also a strong allergen; by the end of our vacation, we developed eye and respiratory allergies. On the fourth day, we noticed a strange, rotting smell in the kitchen. Just before leaving, I looked under the refrigerator and saw two dead mice in mousetraps. Besides being disgusting to look at, living in a house with a rotting smell is dangerous to your health. Before renting out your house, you should make sure there won't be any such smells and avoid setting mousetraps just before guests arrive, as this could have serious consequences, as guests won't know there are decomposing mice under the refrigerator. P.S. Even though the house is called "Sea View," there's not much of a view. The house overlooks a small, swampy patch of sea with vegetation. You can see a bit of the sea from the pier, but you won't be able to go there all the time because the stairs are long and steep.

Beautiful view and wildlife. Very comfortable beds, lovely light sitting room, nice bathroom and sauna. Lots of seating and cushions for outside.

Water at the jetty was too shallow and murky to swim. Very steep 100 stair climb from bottom cottage and sauna to facilities in main house. Lots of rules, unsure about what we could and couldn't use without paying extra costs. Kitchen equipment was dirty and needed cleaning.

Sijainti oli loistava, lyhyt matka keskustaan, mutta ah niin rauhallinen. Viihtyisä ympäristö, eipä tullut TV:tä juurikaan tuijotettua tällä mökillä :).

The villa is absolutely wonderful! We loved everything about the cottage — the perfect location, the great facilities, and the spacious rooms. The sauna was a real highlight. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing vacation or a weekend getaway.
