We loved the location - within walking distance to the pier, the ferry, the beach, ice-cream!! So we could park the car and forget about it for a few days. We loved there was a garden (Astro turf) and washing machine/washing line for keeping on top of things during our stay. The rooms were a good size (over 3 floors) and there was space for all the family. The towels were plentiful and fluffy and the bedding clean. The views out to sea from the main bedroom, being able to watch the ferries depart at night time, the general buzz of Harwich

We’ve left more detailed feedback about cleanliness with the hosts. The stairs are steep so it’s not suitable for anyone with mobility needs. The listing on this booking site needs to be amended as it hasn’t been ‘brand new’ for at least 3 years, so if you are expecting it to be perfect you will be disappointed.

Very comfortable property, plenty of space for the family. The host had left some things in the fridge which is always lovely and there were all the things you could need in the house. Really great location - lots to see within walking distance and places like Frinton a short drive away.

The kitchen was unheated as radiator wasn't working, so it was very cold. Bring slippers to wear downstairs!

Many rooms, ideal for families with children. Beautiful furnishings and room decoration. Beautiful garden with charcoal barbecue.

The car park situation is not ideal. It was difficult to find a free space during the holiday season.

We had our family Christmas break at the cottage, arriving on Christmas Eve for 4 nights. We know Harwich & liked the location so had plenty of seaside walks. We cooked a full Christmas dinner in the cottage & enjoyed putting the wood burner on every evening to relax. The bedrooms were comfortable & spacious.

On check in, we realised that the 2 radiators weren’t working in the bedrooms on the top floor. This was reported multiple times to the local contact as well as the owner on day 3 but got no response. These bedrooms were really cold, especially as it was December & the windows are not double glazed. We managed to slightly heat one bedroom with a small electric heater but it wasn’t acknowledged or rectified.

This property suited our needs perfectly
