The Mistal@Cow Close Barn, Leyburn - Relax, and Enjoy

Location stunning, view from this property is amazing. Outstanding comfortable furnishings, lovely hosts, Suzanne and Paul on site if you need them. Immaculately clean. Beds super comfy. Hosts have thought of everything you could possibly need during your stay and a lovely welcome box of treats and milk, so thoughtful. This is our first of 4 trips here this year and we cannot wait to return to this wonderful place. Best we have stayed in for a relaxing break.

We booked it on the morning of (last minute) and we contacted the owner directly just to double check if everything was still on. Susanne was super helpful on the phone and assured us everything would be ready for our arrival. Upon arrival the cottage was spotless, the little welcome pack with local bread and milk was a lovely touch. the fluffy bathrobes were lovely and beds were super comfy. we went with our 2 children aged 8 and 4. the cottage was stocked with games such as screwball scramble and mousetrap along with some others. The location and surroundings were beautiful and the cottage was only a very short drive and a 20-30min walk (depending on who or what you are carrying :) ) from the local village Leyburn. This had loads of choice when it came to grabbing a bite to eat or coffee, a lovely quaint bookshop which the kids enjoyed and some very nice looking restaurants for dinner. If you preferred to cook in the cottage the village had a nice butchers and local supermarket which had the most amazing deli counter. The location was only 20 mins away from forbidden corner and some really lovely walks, an easy but quite spectacular waterfall to go and see is Harnby waterfall. Despite it being summer Susanne recognised the children's excitement in wanting the wood burner on and supplied us with kindling and logs for the fire after they asked very nicely:). To sum up... as a base unit or a place to spend most of the day this cottage is perfect, I will be looking up availability for winter, and would recommend this place to anyone wishing to adventure in the North Yorkshire moors or just to spend some good quality time with family.

What a fabulous holiday home. Decor lovely, every need catered for. Comfortable beds. Linen and towels superb, even bath robes supplied. The hosts supplied essential groceries and more. Huge wall mounted TV in lounge plus TV’s in each bedroom. Private garden area and parking. Lovely views. We definitely recommend this accommodation.

Lovely view. The accommodation is of a high standard. Huge TV. Very well equipped. Lovely walk to the waterfalls and Leyburn
