Stylish 1BR Apt - Steps from NRG and Texas Med Center

I loved the location, the privacy, and how easy it was to communicate with hosts.

There is only A/C in the living room, so the bedroom gets hot. I had to leave the bedroom door open with a gate in the doorway so my service dogs couldn't go in the bedroom as they pleased, and I had to buy a fan.

Not much these people are scammers, gate was open. Door was ajar.

Changed place during check in time 4 miles away. No internet, a 24 hour fitness towel. Loud neighbors, which were all reported and never resolved. We reached out about 20 times with no resolution to anything. Horrible customer service; walls were sagging, rust and bubbling in bathroom, no second door to shower, humidity 100%. Numerous Cigarette burns all over. I wouldn't recommend to anyone, EVER. Worse Customer Service, the type that blames you for their supposed Company's shortcomings. A 24 hour fitness towel, straight ghetto. Zero internet and they claim they need to set a maintenance man. Simple router reset or if they actually paid for internet there. Again, I did attempt to resolve with these people with tact and kindness. They will take your money and that's that. Expect pure disappointment.

We arrived the property 1.5hrs after check in time. When we enter room the floor was wet and with weird smell and poorly clean. It’s a very old apartment not like the photo show on booking.com. It mislead customers to make incorrect decision. We contacted the property agent and she said she will get someone come help us with air fresher but later on turned out no one showed up. Two night stay was booked but we cannot wait to move out. Actually my husband could not accept the quality of inside smell and the kitchen towel on table is tainted. This property has not been taken well-managed. Plus towels provided in shower room are not really clean—some marks can be found on them. At night next unit ppl put phone on vibrate mode on the hard surfaces and phone vibrate at least 10 times more from 4-7am. 7:30 AM ppl upstairs start walking and do laundry. These all can be heard clearly. We had a restless night.We can’t bear any moments in this apartment. We move out next morning at 10:11 and try to negotiate 2nd night rent back. Booking.com was contacted but no reply from them over 48hrs already (Booking.com promise reply in 24 hrs). May be I should take my business somewhere else in the future.

The curtains and other less used areas were quite dusty. The floor and countertop was sticky in some areas. There was only one bath towel, even though I was clear there would be two guests.

After 10 PM its usually quiet. The bed is wonderful. Its a generally safe area. The wifi worked well.

Its smells like someone is always smoking either in the unit next to it or the last person that staid before. The apt was not clean but they came the next day to fix it. Bare bones in the kitchen. The parking gate is permanently open. I could hear the neighbor watching lion king loudly at 10 PM. The walls have a lot of marks on them and holes from past tenants. The kitchen table set up is not comfortable. This was like staying in a 2 star motel. The manager fixed things but not willing to discount anything for the inconvenience they cause me by not having the apt ready.

It was clean.

It was very empty. It is an older apartment. There were no extras. Parts of the floor are soft and that it was a little nervous as it is a second floor location. The bathroom sink the faucet is not secured. There were two mirrors in the apartment, but they were both on the ground. It is diffently not foot steps away from the NRG. The renter was honest about that.

I wasn't expecting a washer/dryer in the unit, and was thrilled. Until staying here, I was spending an extra $30/week just to do laundry. The convenience and money saved, was great. The best part, is the location. Peaceful, quiet, and beautiful. The location is conveniently located to many restaurants, grocery stores, and 610/Hwy 90 (South Main).
