"Nice but too noisy"

7.0

Everything communicated through WhatsApp - host was very kind and responsive. I had a minor issue with my room and she upgraded me immediately and was super helpful. It was a comfortable bed with a nice bathroom

The roof is made from corrugated steel and so there are gaps between the roof and the wall - this means that next door noise is very audible. Luckily I didn't have anyone staying next door but there were some ladies (maybe cleaners) hanging out in there and even conversational level talking was really irritating. There is also a narrow alley way leading to the house which is covered in dog shit. It smells really bad. I got back at 8pm one evening and there were some strange men who tried to follow me and it was pretty scary. I would avoid staying in San Marcos. It's too small, really smelly and not great food anywhere
