The space in the house

The location of this property was not pleasant. The sofa had stains all over it which was disgusting. The cutlery and plates, bowls etc were filthy. There were four chairs in the kitchen when the property sleeps seven. Two of the chairs were unusable due to them being unstable. The patio doors and kitchen window had no blinds or curtains and you can see straight into the living room. This was previously mentioned in a review last year and I thought it would have been addressed by the time of our visit. I messaged Olly on our arrival who asked if we wanted someone to come and fix the chairs. I declined this as we were only there two nights and we did not want to have to wait for someone to come in. The sofa bed was broken and could not be used, Olly said they knew about this which is why it is not in the advert. Pictures of the sofa bed are in the advert and also bedding for the sofa bed was in the house. This made for a very uncomfortable two nights.

The house felt welcoming and entrance was easy and well explained. There is plenty parking space, the kitchen well stocked and beds comfortable.

It was very cold when we arrived and we couldn’t get the sofa bed to work, but managed fine without.

The location was great.

The entire house was grubby & dusty. The sofa had big stains all over it, so none of us wanted to sit on it. The panelled walls in the bedroom I stayed in were thick of dust. The bedding hadn't been ironed & was stained, & also had hairs all over the pillowcase. The bath was filthy, & i received a phonecall notifying me the shower wasn't working & that there'd be an electrician out to fix it in the morning. When I asked if the shower could be fixed after our stay, I was told it couldn't because they'd lose money. The next day the electrician turned up on a push bike with his toolbox, it was comical! On the photos of the property it looks smart, but on closer inspection we found everything was done on the cheap.

We liked the space and interior style of the house.

The bathroom could do with a freshen up as well as an extract fan. Perhaps a couple of extra chairs in the lounge. But otherwise good. Oh and a few extras of each mug and glass type. A decent cloth and cleaning products would have made it easier to leave the place clean and tidy as well.
