1 The View apartments Ilfracombe - Seafront, Parking, Lift, EV

The location was perfect, the apartment itself was really nice, modern and clean.

THE VIEW has 5 apartments. We stayed for 5 nights in THE VIEW 1 apartment which is on the ground floor. Michelle meet us and helped us park our car from the turntable in the tight basement private parking area on arrival. Racheal kindley helped us take all our luggage in the lift up to THE VIEW 1 apartment. The view was great from the large window and the apartment was very modern, The bottle of wine on arrival was a nice touch. The open plan kitchen, also had a small round table and 1 leather sofa. It was light with views looking out onto beach and surrounding areas and a glass door stepping out onto the small balcony. The apartment was smaller than we expected. Came with large bench, oven & microwave. Close to all amenities, Supermarket, pubs and site seeing areas. The Tunnels Beaches were closed till 2027 A good place to eat was the Lime Kiln, with views looking over the harbour. To walk there from THE VIEW takes 20min. Manager Lilly was an excellent hostess and the food was fabulous.

The entrance into the THE VIEW 1 apartment from the lift was dark, along with the 2 bedrooms and laundry. There were no opening windows in the bedrooms which faced onto a wall outside, which made it claustrophobic. The bathroom had poor lighting and limited ventilation and again no window. The modern open shower had no door, so water went all over the floor. There was a washing machine but NO dryer in THE VIEW 1 apartment. There was no suitable position to put the clothes airer provided, to dry your washed clothes. The small balcony was shared by THE VIEW 2 apartment so there was no privacy. The bed was very low with a wooden a frame and the mattress and pillows were hard.

I think this apartment was quite possibly the best we have stayed in. It was spotlessly clean. Had everything you needed,including a washing machine that came in very handy! The furniture was like new. Our car was safely parked in an underground car park. The apartment is close to beaches and the harbour. And our best part was the balcony with a sea view. Stunning. Michelle, the owner, was very friendly, and nothing was too much bother. We will definitely be booking again if we are in this beautiful part of Devon.

Amazing location, this property deserves its name of The View. We had everything we needed here and Michelle couldn't have been more helpful. For a small apartment it was well equipped, especially liked having decent sized mugs and a generous amount of cutlery, wonderfully clean, small balcony but lovely to sit out and enjoy the view.

Didn't like only having 2 days, next visit needs to be longer.
