La comodidad. Era muy amplio, y la ubicación es muy buena porque tiene muchas conexiones para ir al centro o playa.

We noticed some older reviews mentioning damp and mould, but recent ones suggested improvements. Before we committed, the host confirmed most issues were resolved and were present mainly at the beginning of their operations, with only a slight smell from the utility room. This turned out to be accurate – simply closing the door made it a non-issue, and any faint smell when entering the apartment disappeared within a minute. Ventilation overall was fine. The host was responsive and very accommodating. The apartment has two sofas (one sofa bed), and since we were a group of 3 (a couple and one friend), we only used the two bedrooms – one double and one single – and both mattresses were very comfortable. Plenty of clean extras were provided, including pillows, bedding, and blankets. We also appreciated the added conveniences like an ironing board, washing machine, and a well-equipped kitchen with pots, pans, cutlery, cooking oils, and seasoning, which made it easy to prepare basic meals. The location is excellent, and situated in a safe neighbourhood – a Consum supermarket (cheap chain) is just a few minutes’ walk away next to the metro, which is very easy to use. There are some nice small gardens just outside the apartment, and it’s about a 20-minute walk to Nuevo Centro (large mall), 35 minutes to the old town/El Carmen, and around 1.5 hours to the beach, though public transport makes this much quicker. WiFi was extremely fast, and Netflix was included. Overall, it offers great value compared to similar two-bedroom apartments closer to the centre, which are literally double the price. We had a very pleasant stay and would recommend it.

There was an unpleasant smell coming from the utility room, though this was easily managed/resolved by keeping the door closed and it became unnoticeable. However, the host was transparent and said this was the only issue that was/is unresolved. I'd imagine the sofa bed is uncomfortable/not ideal to sleep on, though it’s fine for sitting on. It’s not a luxury apartment, and the furniture, furnishings, and fixtures reflect that.
