The host, Victoria, was so helpful, especially when I had to amend my dates. You have everything you need in the cottage, and the extras, butter, bread,milk & eggs are so helpful. Fantastic location and very clean. Best place I have stayed in and dog friendly, so I was able to bring my dog too. Brilliant stay!

Everything! From The cleanliness to the decor to the location to the little touches the owner has in place. Would go a long way to get better. The owner has really made this place feel like you never eat to leave. The bathroom was a complete treat. Love everything about it!

Having to leave

Oh, where to start?! The house was two minutes from the sea and within easy walking distance of Deal with all its restaurants and shops. It had a parking space at the back which was super useful. It was spotlessly clean, beautifully furnished and decorated, exceptionally well equipped: for example, the kitchen had everything you could need; there was a little pot of cotton wool buds and another of cotton wool pads on one of the dressing tables; rugs for the chilly evenings; books, records; two toothbrushes and some toothpaste….I could go on and on. And the owner had left bread, milk, butter, coffee, tea, porridge oats, granola, Tunnock’s tea cakes and a little tray of treats for us. Every time we came back from walking or eating, it felt like we were coming back to our own home. It’s easily the best house we have ever stayed in and the owner kept in touch regularly to make sure we were happy. It was so lovely to have the personal touch like that: we have stayed in plenty of agency-organised houses/apartments to know how different and welcome this was.

Location very good easy to park. No breakfast but a wonderful variety of food in cupboards which we could have used. Fresh milk and coffee, wine and small cakes. Beds and pillows very comfortable.

Not it was perfect as it was. The only problem was ( which was in the write up is the stairs very steep)

A Nice little quaint cottage, 2 minute walk to the beach and 10 minute walk to the town, the house it’s self was clean and quirky, with very narrow and steep staircase, very clear instructions on how to get there, where to park and how to enter the premises. The owner went above and beyond to make our stay very welcoming. Would definitely return and definitely recommend.

There’s not much I disliked about the place, might be just getting up and down the stairs but that’s part of the charm of the place.
