The location was amazing. Living in an historic house really added to the experience. The quirky nature of it was really magical.

Unfortunately with the quirkiness came a few tiny issues. The stairs are really quite unsafe, especially on the landings with no guardrails. And the stairs to access the property are very steep. Luckily we were all able-bodied, fit adults, but I could see the issue if travelling with children or people with mobility issues. Also, only having one toilet was a slight inconvenience. One bed is classed as a double, however it is "floating" between two floors and to access it, you have to crawl across a narrow strip of wall off of the stairs. Again, we loved it and it added to the charm, but it wouldn't be accessible for two people to sleep there. But, these are minor issues and we loved the house.

The only thing we liked is, that this house was near the city centre.

What I'm writing now is my honest opinion about your house and you should really take this seriously. I think this house needs to be completely cleaned and renovated. When we came in we were really surprised by the smell of mold in the house. Everything smells like mold. the hygiene is very bad. The shower is so small you can't even turn around while showering. some windows are closed with duck tape. The terrace on the top floor, which looks so beautiful in the photo, cannot be used because it was covered with duck tape and the cushions outside are covered in mold spots. The mattresses have stains (urine stains) and look bad. I don't think it's right to sleep on something like that these days. the wallpaper has come loose in some places. there are even holes in the wall. The kitchen also needs an update (dishes, pans and pots need to be replaced). The window in the kitchen is broken because a piece of wood is missing and it is open about 5cm. Many sockets in the house don't work. There was no wifi either and therefore no television. I'm not the type of person to call after you and ask if you can fix something. I am the opinion that you should check every time before you rent something that everything is in order. I'm really completely disappointed.

The highlight of this property is the balcony view and the convenience to old Bergen and feeling like you are living in a neighborhood during your stay. Easy to walk to bakeries, restaurants, grocery store if you are not coming with a car.

Property could use a deep clean- mold in single small shower. Multiple items in house were fixed with duct tape, including shower head, which left it pointing in the wrong direction and gave the place a student housing vibe. While many nearby houses had flowers planted, this one had a dead plant in a planter and many weeds and pieces of trash and cigarettes around it. Very difficult to haul luggage to this location, uphill and up steps. Only able to contact host by email, no phone number provided. Very hodgepodge kitchen items. Many beds in this house and they only chose to make up two of them in one room. Every bed should have been made up and available. Small limited towels and no great place to hang them. Very narrow stairs that it was easy to slip on.

Maintenance finally showed up the night before we were leaving after a 7 night stay. When u have 7 people sharing a single bathroom room and the shower is barely functional on arrival?????
