Cozy Top-Floor Stay with Private Bathrooms & Free Parking

If you are planning to using the kitchen here then plan again as there is only the fridge and microwave available for guests. None of the dining area pictured in the listing is actually for guests. There is one small coffee table and two tiny chairs upstairs. Don’t be too shocked when you enter the kitchen and you see staff only signs over everything. Guests are not allowed in the kitchen or living room, except to access the fridge. There is a sign saying you can’t make calls from the kitchen or common areas and kitchen closes at 7:30pm. I was actually surprised as I never saw anything like that before in a home stay. The room is quite hot at night and there was no fan provided except for a small air conditioner unit which didn’t have the hot air pipe plumbed outside so I had to leave the window open. No coffee/tea provided for guests and it’s not close to the shops so I would recommend going to the supermarket before checking in. I stayed there twice and the first time was great. Ken was nice and there were other couples staying there as well, nice vibes, great atmosphere. But second time there was a lady owner and wasn’t so good, unfortunately. It’s cheap and you get what you pay for I guess.

The room is very nice and big, bathroom is amazing which was lively, unfortunately I was very itchy the whole weekend so my husband and I thought it maybe the bed linens?..but we did enjoy the place and the host were awesome & welcoming.

Bed was a bit uncomfortable, but we made it to the end.

To be honest a TV in the room wouldn't have gone a miss also a small fridge in the top landing just for milk drinks etc

Easy access no fuss

Pillows were not very comfy but that's the only complaint. Great otherwise

From the moment we arrived it was bad. Pouring with rain and No info how to get access.luckily his partner let us in . Then the owner is ringing me asking for me to send my email so he can send me instructions…why cant the owner just give details through booking.com like everyone else. I booked nearly a year in advance…not like he didnt know i was coming. Bathroom was dirty with mould all round bottom of shower and sink overflow. Water wouldn’t flow away from sink…..wife unscrewed plug and it was blocked with hair and gunge…not cleaned out since i dont know when, it was disgusting.bath need a good clean….as do skirtings in room and on stairs . Dirt and dust all around bath on floor. You are not allowed to use the dinning table in the kitchen despite there being a picture in the add. You can only use kitchen till 7.30 pm .this is because the owner lives on this floor and he doesn’t want any noise…if he doesn’t want noise…dont have guests . It says fridge in room…there isn’t . There is a tiny table at top of stairs…on the landing but you couldn’t eat off it as its a coffee table not a dinning table and its not big enough for 2 people to have a meal at. The room is quite small and you bang your head on the sloping ceiling . The furniture is cheap…beds chairs tables…and not even screwed together properly . This is a guest house done on the cheap with too many rules that makes it feel unwelcoming…..I couldn’t even walk into bedroom without having to squeeze past a wardrobe on the landing and a large suitcase on the half landing makes it difficult to take bags up and down to room.
