Cozy Apartment 6 miles from Downtown, Cincinnati

The residence was extremely clean. You can have a comfy stay without interference from outside noise.

The stairs and outside stairwell. Not a major issue, just if someone has mobility issues they need to be aware.

How easy it was to get around.

No outside area to enjoy the awesome weather.

The only thing I didn’t like was climbing the steps but it wasn’t that many so it wasn’t bad I should have put 1st floor

It was a great value. The space worked for us. It was nice to have a kitchen. The neighborhood was lower income residential. There was a McDonalds and Walmart within walking distance. The host was very responsive and tried to give us what we asked for quickly.

It is an older home and not super close to attractions.

I didn’t like that the property didn’t have security lights on the side of the house where I had to walk up and down the hill it was extremely dark

Overall the apartment was decently furnished. Quiet neighborhood for the most part and centrally located to a few things downtown we wanted to see. Quiet downstairs renters as well. It was worth it to have the extra room. Plenty of cleaning supplies trash bags toilet paper paper towel etc. the shower had great pressure and hot water when wanted. The host responded to inquiries in a timely manner and was polite. There was WiFi included and two smart TVs so we were able to log into our Hulu and watch a movie. Also available are Roku shows featured free and you could always download freevee or something similar if you don’t own your own apps.

The kitchen only has one pan, many pots but it made cooking difficult. Especially when I asked ahead of time since I would have packed my own. I also didn’t find the sink stopper until day 3 so that made dishes a pain as well. The plates provided do not fit in the microwave and there is no actual toaster but there is a toaster oven that worked fine. The coffee pot is small so everything just ended up being double the work when it came to any sort of cooking. We had to buy our own shampoo and conditioner, I later found shampoo in the closet but we just continued to use our own as there wasn’t conditioner. The soap in the bathroom was almost empty also but later we found some in the closet. Bathroom does not have a trash can. The apartment is air conditioned however it is window units—we were roasting when we first arrived and we were definitely too hot to sleep well the first night. Even with all three units and a fan running continuously from our arrival forward the apartment was never what I would call cold, I think the units are just too small to keep up with the heat here. The washing machine and dryer was not located in the apartment, I will say I should have specifically asked prior to booking-I’m not sure if it’s the owners who live downstairs or other renters but they continuously had clothes left in the dryer. I was polite and folded them the first time after we had waited over two hours to transfer our things to the dryer. Even now as we are packing to leave I have laundry to do but refuse to move more of their clothes again-def a situation I’ve encountered before and was trying to avoid I likely would’ve rented elsewhere had I known it was in the basement. The drawers under the bed just kind of slide around so we never actually unpacked and lived out of our bags which I hate to do.
